Short Property Description
We are a commercial Certified Organic avocado & kiwifruit farm located on the stunning Comboyne Plateau, 600m above sea level yet only 30km from the coast . The property is 226 acres with our orchards surrounded by native rain forest, abundant bird life & native animals (including a spectacular waterfall and swimming hole). Just 45kms (50 min drive) from Port Macquarie and 30kms (30 min drive) from Wauchope.
We are about a 45 mins drive from one of the highest (200m) waterfalls in the southern hemisphere, Ellenborough Falls at Elands.
Work includes harvesting, packing, pruning, weeding, spreading hay for mulch, general farm chores – whatever needs doing at the time. WWOOFers need to be fit, healthy and enthusiastic.
We are a Bushfire and Flood Recovery Federal Government designated area so can sign off on your 88 Days to qualify for second or third working holiday visas.
We have accommodation for up to 3 people in the farm house, or BYO campervan or tent. We offer a healthy mixed diet with mainly organic food. We enjoy sharing good food and learning about different cultures.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are Certified Organic so we use no chemicals in the orchards. Weeding, mulching, picking and pruning are done by hand. You can learn an enormous amount about Organic Farming methods and horticulture.
