Set on 24 acres of lush rolling Noosa Hinterland fertile soil with 4 permanent dams. Previously a very productive organic certified garlic and ginger farm for many years. The farm changed hands and production was scaled back dramatically eventually ceasing in 2017 just before the current owners purchased it. We (the current owners) are in the process of returning our home to its former glory including production of garlic, ginger, turmeric, fruit, vegetables and animals using biodynamic and permaculture practices. Our aim will be to offer a full paddock to plate experience and an exciting opportunity to be part of our family during your stay! We have recently opened on our property an organic sourdough micro bakery. If interested you will have the opportunity to help with the running of the bakery too!!

We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angus river running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable garden with free-roaming bantams, big-layer hens, flower beds and lawns, as well as  2 goats on paddocks.  I run a sustainable architecture & building consulting business from home. Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accommodation  for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Use of a car possible for the right person. Please contact us via email only.

I retreat to the universe that provides, in return I give time and compassion into anything garden, cooking, repairing, recycling, caring for animals and other fellows, clearing out old mess, reviving and restoring the old and jagged. I've journeyed through some of my lowest depths so far, and I'm here - seperate from the rat race for a more profound, embodied journey. Moving forward now knowing I can grow to learn the way of nature and become one with the universal source. SO I step into the WWOOF community, liberated and ready to hear what you have to teach me. I choose to WWOOF because its a million opportunities in one, get up and get active, stimulate my mental and a chance to meet some life long mates on my way.

Here at Kennedy's Lane Farm we work as a team to produce vibrant organic vegetables and free range eggs for 3 of our local Farmers Markets. We are passionate about regenerative agriculture and growing food in a way that nourishes the land as well as our community. Our farm is in a beautiful location, only 10 minutes away from the beaches and towns of Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads.

Having spent the best part of the past two decades working in marketing, I have decided I want to genuinely upskill myself in sustainable practices, permaculture and better understandings in alternative living. This is all in the goal of setting up my own eco community most likely in Northern New Zealand.

I WWOOFed when I was 25 in France and loved it as a way of getting to know local food and culture. It presents a good purpose of supporting and learning from others while still giving a sense of being on vacation because the experience is so different. We want our kids to see travelling as a way of getting to know others rather than just site seeing. Luke and I have both found that the beauty of traveling is in the people we meet and the relationships we build.

"Namoorook" circa 1895, is a beautifully restored homestead on 71 acres of farm land approximately 1.5 kms from Leongatha and 130kms from Melbourne. Adopting regenerative agricultural practices, Namoorook is a mixed farming operation with livestock, organic fruit orchard and vegetable gardens. We hope it will become an example of how food and farming systems can use the power of nature to increase biodiversity, enrich the soil, capture carbon, improve watersheds enhancing the entire ecosystem.

We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work such as fencing. We have 1000 acres of native vegetation, 4500 acres of grazing country for farming & bee keeping, with red undulating soil. Work on our farm includes sheep & cattle stock work, farm chores, fencing, organic gardening, milking cows, tending sheep, chickens & turkeys, pruning trees and whatever else needs doing. At the moment we have some baby lambs and calves that need to be fed and taken care of. If you are interested in learning something new and getting to know what life on an Australian Farm is like, you are more than welcome to stay with us. We love to get to know different people from other countries and are happy to teach you new skills. We hope that you will have an unforgettable and unique experience with us on our rural farm in the Australian outback. We generally prefer longer stays.

I think WWOOF is a good way to make yourself useful and get to know about permaculture, local life, people and the country at the same time. I got very much interested into permaculture during my first WWOOF stay and I would be happy to start my own veggie/fruit garden when I get back home.

I joined WWOOF as I am looking for a new experience, learn new things and hopefully have a look into the Australian life. As I dont want to use my 3rd WHV yet and dont want to go home now because of Covid, I’ll apply for a tourist-visa. As I have time enough but want to spend my time here usefully, I would like to do some voluntering to get new experiences and help you out with an extra set of hands.

City/Town: Blackheath
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
Looking for WWOOFers for February until end April. Extend your visa working on a bushfire affected property! Our place at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains of NSW was burnt in a bush fire on 22nd December 2019. We need help with land clearing of burnt areas so that we can restore our fences as well as taking the opportunity to remove weeds in the burnt areas where they have reappeared and planting out up to 1,000 canopy tree seedlings to restore the native habitat. We are on 3.2 Ha of which 80% has been burnt. Luckily the orchard, greenhouse and organic vegie garden was saved, so we need help with preparing the spring garden and winter harvest, in addition to the restoration work. We are dedicated permaculture followers and live according to sustainability principles. We have recently taken over a dilapidated property surrounded by bush, although the house is in good condition. We have cleared the orchard and Vegie area and have Planted a Permaculture garden. However there is still a lot to be done. Under our guidance, weeds and undergrowth need to be cleared, compost, wood bins managed and our greenhouse attended to, as well as continuing to plant out the herb and vegetable garden. Other tasks include clearing the bushland of weeds, preparing new garden beds and building a pergola for kiwi fruit vines. We need people who are strong, with some landscape gardening experience. Accomodation for 1, 2 or 3 close friends in a separate wing of our home with its own kitchen and bathroom and separate entry - would suit a couple or single person. Shared meals each evening. or Food provided to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Mixed diet. Vegetarians catered for. No children. No smoking on property. Initial stay 6-10 days, longer stays negotiable. Prefer min 2 week stays.

City/Town: Conondale
Farming Methods: Biodynamic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home, BYO Accommodation
We have a beautiful property in Conondale, near Maleny which is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Queensland. 154 acres, mostly native bush but with about 20-30acres of cleared land, and we even have our own rain forrest and deer! We have recently moved here and have lots of plans! But the first thing is to get the fences sorted, and the weeds in the paddocks and the native bush. We are interested in regenerative farming methods, and are looking forward to putting these practices in place to improve the soil and native bush around us. We have a fabulous pool, tennis court and with three dams, one which you can kayak in, there is lots to do on your down time. There is a bus at our gate that will take you into Maleny which is about a 20 minute drive. We've had WWOOFers for the last 2 years out at Roma (in the South QLD outback) and would love to host more here, in this completely different environment as we learn together!

We have a beautiful 40 acre horse agistment property, veggie garden & fruit trees and approx. 5 acres bush. 3 min drive to surf beach, bay beach & Inverloch town or 10 min drive to Wonthaggi, a larger town. Push bikes available. We are very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle and hope that our WWOOFers are also interested in living sustainably and learning, and sharing knowledge of this. There are almost always wallabies at our farm and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats & occasional koalas. Work may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, hay carting, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation.  Sometimes there is some work caring for horses: often all the work is in the garden and paddock maintenance, as the horses are mainly looked after by their owners. Accommodation for up to 3 in our home, although we usually prefer 2. Shared meals, cook together. We eat a healthy, sustainable diet.  Bron is vegan and while Ray eats everything, many meals are vegan or vegetarian.  Vegetarians & vegans catered for.  No children, no smoking, all stays negotiable on application. Please let us know your available dates when you apply and the length of time that you would like to WWOOF here. (1 to 2 weeks preferred).
