Short Property Description
We are a commercial Certified Organic avocado & kiwifruit farm located on the stunning Comboyne Plateau, 600m above sea level. The property is 226 acres with our orchards surrounded by native rainforest, abundant birdlife & native animals (including a spectacular waterfall and swimming hole). Just 45kms (50 min drive) from Port Macquarie & 30kms (30 min drive) from Wauchope & the coast, we are easily connected to shops, restaurants and services.
Volunteering includes harvesting, packing, weeding, spreading hay for mulch, pruning, general farm chores – whatever needs doing at the time. WWOOFers need to be fit, healthy & enthusiastic. We can also sign off on your 88 Days.
We have accommodation for up to 3 people in the house or shed room, or BYO campervan or tent. We offer a healthy mixed diet with mainly organic food. We enjoy sharing good food and learning about different cultures.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are Certified Organic so we use no chemicals in the orchards. Weeding, mulching, picking and pruning are done by hand. You will learn an enormous amount about Organic methods and horticulture.
