We have lots of food gardening  activities happening at the moment and are also helping out on other exciting community projects such as the Oxygen Farm (walking track), the Elands Company an old sawmill now used for community events and our bushfire creative "recombobulation" project at the local community health centre. Volunteer hours are flexible, tasks varied, and diet mixed with fresh fruit, vegies, nuts and delicious olives and many other preserves from the large caged garden/orchard and landscaped swales. Accommodation at the house is in 2 rooms, one with 3 single beds and one with a Queen bed but you can also choose to camp close by if you have that gear. Skills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices, Permaculture/Biodynamics, Biodynamics practices and techniques, Regenerative Agriculture, Gardening, Propagating, Composting, Soil conservation, Mulching, Pruning, Animal Care, Worm farming, Beekeeping, Dairy, Natural building methods, Preserving food, Wild food foraging, Fermenting food, Bread Making, Wine making, Environmental recovery/regeneration work
Of course I’m WWOOFing to travel and see the world but what I’m really looking for out of this experience is to connect to nature and get some headspace, to learn new skills, to get my hands dirty, and to come away with more knowledge about the earth and it’s creatures, including myself. I’m really excited about learning all about organic farming in every way it’s practiced. I have very far off goals of someday having my own little spot of land, even if that’s just a big vegetable garden in a backyard, and am really passionate about sustainable practices and giving back to earth as well as only taking what is absolutely needed.

A 380 acre family farm since 1961 completely surrounded by National Park. Originally dairy, then beef now with a focus on truffle & beef. We have always been off grid, an early adopter of solar power (almost 40 years ago) and provide a diversity of activity. Our rammed earth and strawbale home is open annually for Sustainable House Day and showcases masonry heater, composting toilets, solar power, rainwater, fire resistant design, ... We were one of the farms around Cobargo that was burnt in the 2020 Blacksummer fires. We saved our home and all sheds, but lost fences, trees and grass. Since then, we have cleared up most, but are still dealing with the results. If you would like to help, please call  or email. We provide a diversity of activity and experience in the most beautiful part of the state. You have your own room in our home, part of our family while you are here. We can Sign Off on 2nd Year Visas
