Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. Due to the corona virus all our booked overseas helpers had to cancel their flight to Australia. The first time in Years we might at times be without helpers at all. Some local Australian helpers, unable to go overseas are now filling the gap which is very nice as we used to have overseas helpers only before. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, a Muscovy duck, flower beds, lawns as well as two goats on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. Bernward is semi retired but still runs a sustainable architecture and building consultancy business part time from offices attached to the home. Barbara works at the local hospital. We have been accommodating helpers since 2011  through various help exchange sites. If you want a break from travelling in a non judgmental  friendly  family environment and you are open and self-motivated, this is the place for you. This is not an action or party place but rather a place to relax and get creative with great light, & scenery for painting and photography, write and get back to nature. A big woodworking workshop invites creativity. I enjoy teaching woodworking skills to our helpers with the option to learn how to fit out campervans and tiny houses. A couple of times a week we heat up our Sauna and helpers are welcome to join. Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accommodation  for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Please contact us via email only.

We have a beautiful 40 acre horse agistment property, veggie garden & fruit trees and approx. 5 acres bush. 3 min drive to surf beach, bay beach & Inverloch town or 10 min drive to Wonthaggi, a larger town. Push bikes available. We are very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle and hope that our WWOOFers are also interested in living sustainably and learning, and sharing knowledge of this. There are almost always wallabies at our farm and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats & occasional koalas. Work may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, hay carting, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation.  Sometimes there is some work caring for horses: often all the work is in the garden and paddock maintenance, as the horses are mainly looked after by their owners. We eat a healthy, sustainable diet.  Bron is vegan and while Ray eats everything, many meals are vegan or vegetarian.  Vegetarians & vegans catered for.  No children, no smoking, all stays negotiable on application. Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard.  We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. Its great having people come and enjoy the farm with us and join in the lifestyle. We are keen to explore ideas such as care farming and social enterprises. We have a nice new self contained donger set up with kitchen, toilet, bathroom, aircon for you to stay in or you're welcome to bring your own caravan etc. We will be starting our lambing season soon and it would be great to have some help checking and helping the ewes and any lambs that need it. We are also really keen to plant more trees on the farm. We have some seed and the will and just need help with getting things happening this autumn and winter so they have a good chance.

I own 25 acres of steep, rocky land in W Tree in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Over almost 35 years I have built (with considerable help) a lovely passive solar mudbrick house, planted crazy numbers of trees, gardened and raised my wonderful son. In many ways I have worked towards a dream from my early 20's to build a country life. My place is lovely. The vast expanse of bushland that surrounds it is beyond spectacular.   We can Sign off on your 2nd Year Visas as we were effected by the 2019-2020 Bushfires.

Grant has a range of experience growing food and managing farms, having started in horticulture 43 years ago, then creating a landscaping business in Sydney for 8 years. He completed a Permaculture Design Certificate 35 years ago and upgraded the landscaping business to an edible landscape business shortly after. He then opened 3 nurseries in Sydney selling organic herbs, vegetables and ferns. He worked in the Findhorn Community in Scotland for 3 years looking after a nursey section, market garden and a large tunnel house growing summer crops. Directly after that he managed a 1 ¬Ĺ acre market garden supplying vegetables to The Columbus Hotel on the Isle of Iona. Grant has been working with internationally renowned permaculturist, Geoff Lawton on a regular basis making permaculture videos for over 6 years. As a family we have been hosting Willing Workers on Organic Farms for over 18 years. We are looking for an energetic person with a strong work ethic with a physical working background and general gardening experience is preferred. There are also many building projects so any skill in that area is a bonus. I'm passionate about nature & our environment & keep learning how to live more simply on this earth.  I love my work with arts, creativity, dance & meditation, inspiring people to live well & live their best lives. Happy to host WWOOFers who are working or studying remotely, I like long term WWOOFers so if you are looking for a home in a beautiful community & some work alongside your work or study,  please be in contact.
