PLEASE RING, no emails! 🙂 We are situated in the Byron bay hinterlands, about 35 mins to Byron, 20 mins. to Lismore. Come and join our patchwork family on our farm. We love gardening, regenerating the land and engaging in arts and crafts such as hand tool woodworking, blacksmithing, sewing, bread making, painting, drawing etc. We also love building structures, rock walls and designing landscapes. We have chickens and a Kelpie dog (Rosie) and sometimes there are horses as well. We have a kitchen garden as well as a subtropical and tropical fruit orchard and Australian bush foods. Our farming and gardening methods are organic and we believe in a sustainable lifestyle. We are close to the Night Cap National Park (Minyon Falls) and good, local swimming holes. Tasks for people wanting to help us include gardening, weeding, landscaping, feeding our animals, building projects and cooking and eating good food. 🙂 We are a patchwork family that is always up for action and fun and we have a toddler, too, who loves being entertained and part of it all! 🙂

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. Due to the corona virus all our booked overseas helpers had to cancel their flight to Australia. The first time in Years we might at times be without helpers at all. Some local Australian helpers, unable to go overseas are now filling the gap which is very nice as we used to have overseas helpers only before. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, a Muscovy duck, flower beds, lawns as well as two goats on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. Bernward is semi retired but still runs a sustainable architecture and building consultancy business part time from offices attached to the home. Barbara works at the local hospital. We have been accommodating helpers since 2011  through various help exchange sites. If you want a break from travelling in a non judgmental  friendly  family environment and you are open and self-motivated, this is the place for you. This is not an action or party place but rather a place to relax and get creative with great light, & scenery for painting and photography, write and get back to nature. A big woodworking workshop invites creativity. I enjoy teaching woodworking skills to our helpers with the option to learn how to fit out campervans and tiny houses. A couple of times a week we heat up our Sauna and helpers are welcome to join. Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accommodation  for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Please contact us via email only.

For 35 years now, on 940 acres of diverse plateau-edge forest with spectacular gorge pools and waterfalls, we two zoologists have created an off-grid, solar, gravity, wood and people powered - experiment in sustainable food gardening and land, fire and wildlife management. We have lots of food gardening and bushfire recovery related activities happening at the moment and are also helping out on other exciting community projects such as the Oxygen Farm (walking track), the Elands Company an old sawmill now used for community events and landscape rehabilitation, and organic lunches for our post fire "recombobulation" project at the local community health centre. Work hours are flexible, tasks varied, fruit, vegies, nuts etc fresh from the large garden/orchard/swales and diet mixed. Accommodation at the house is in 2 rooms, one with 3 single beds and one with a Queen bed but you can also choose to camp close by if you have that gear. Can pick you up from public transport at Wingham/Taree/Port Macquarie. Min stay 1 week unless you have own transport. Long stays are welcome as we love having visitors, sharing stories and showing them our beautiful river and plateau environment.

Volunteer for approx 25 hours a week - or negotiate for less hours if you provide some of your own food. We were bushfire-affected so WWOOFers are eligible for 88-day volunteer work for visa extensions. See link below for forms and information. Welcome to our community in this beautiful rainforest valley! Our home is part of a 1800 acre multiple-occupancy co-op with 250 residents, one of the oldest and largest intentional communities in Australia. We have our own school, pre-school, community centre, hall & other shared facilities. We also have lots of weeds & plenty of work for willing hands, from carpentry to gardening! Home is 2 little solar-powered houses by the creek with beautiful views and abundant birds and wildlife, as well as food trees, gardens and a beehive. We have fresh spring water, composting toilet and all mod cons. Mobile WiFi internet access is best with Telstra, although Optus gets some reception. Accommodation in small room in main house with own lounge area. You can either eat with me or do your own cooking - or a bit of both! 😊 Please let me know your skills and interests by email a few days before you wish to arrive and bring a ukulele or other musical instruments if you have one. Look forward to meeting you.

Over the next year we will be setting up our communal wastewater system, which will also include our orchard, planting fruit trees in our communal areas, working on our community garden and on our animal systems, rehabilitating and augmenting our riparian areas as well as building houses, milling timber, fencing and all the other necessities of living on property.

Jetty Farm is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula surf coast of South Australia, approximately 1 hour from Adelaide. The farm is a small-scale 6-acre homestead with an extensive produce garden and a small array of farm stock. We use only permaculture & regenerative farming practices, are devotees to soil health & the worldwide-wood devotees, and we learn from the likes of leaders in the field such Geoff Lawton, Richard Perkins & Joel Salatin. Our location is close to the beautiful natural coastline, natural parks, and small local communities so other than farming there's lots to see and do in the area.

My husband Andrew and I (Sally) live in a contemporary self-sufficient home on 11 hectares in the Clare Valley in South Australia. We have a large fruit and vegetable garden, flower beds, bees and sheep and soon-to-be chickens. We like the quirk in gardens and have many more projects in the pipeline. We also have a pizza oven on our European style terrace at the rear of our home and an elevated deck floating over the valley for pre-dinner drinks and moon and star gazing. A deep rain water bath and pebble open shower await WWOOFers at the end of the working day.

Hi, we are are family run hobby farm in south west australia. Our beautiful 100 acres are hidden away in the beautiful forests near Pemberton. We are passionate about co-creating with nature to fuel her abundance and nurture the land we are blessed to be a part of. The land has 5 cottages too that require general maintanace and care. We are easy going, generous, fun and a little alternative!. We also love to travel, ski, surf and boat and explore. We do not live on the property but have a manager who does and we visit regularly from our home an hour away. We will be raising animals in the near future, planting orchards and regenerating a vegetable patch. We are passionate about organic farming practices and leaving little impact on the earth.

Horse Trail Riding and Stock Horse Stud on 100 acres of bushland. The property also includes a 2.5 acre vineyard near Margaret River. We have about 30 horses, from school masters through to polo ponies. Volunteering includes compost making using straw & manure from horse stables, spreading compost onto vineyard, removal of introduced weeds & revegetation of bushland with native species. People with some experience in horse handling and riding can get involved with all aspects of horse care. The work is diverse so there are loads of opportunities for a bit of knowledge exchange. Accommodation for 2 people in separate 4 bedroom farm house. No children. Mixed diet. No smoking inside. Negotiable stays after initial visit. See our website and take a look!
