Short Property Description
We are a semi-retired couple who has been farming here for 30 years and now with our son Arion who has joined us as the vegetable grower. We live in a peaceful scenic setting surrounded by forest & incredible wildlife. Great swimming, mountain bikes & bushwalks available. Our house is solar powered & passive.
We are a commercial Certified Bio-dynamic farm, growing vegetables & beef. Tasks include vegetable harvesting, working with cattle, firewood collection, etc. We make all our own B-d preparations & compost heaps. Our son Arion is market gardening on the property using BD methods, no dig, and runs hothouses in conjunction with outdoor seasonal cropping. A great resource for information and of intensive growing experiences. He can always use assistance too!
Accommodation for 1-3 in nearby cabin or simple cabin by the dam. Mixed diet to suit. Meals varied, vegetarian & meat eating, please no vegans or fruitarians. WWOOFers may assist with meal prep.
Easy to reach by bus from Perth to Donnybrook. We will pick up.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are Biodynamic and have been for over 2 decades. We make our own preparations and compost for crops and field fertility. Brett is a master prep maker.
