Short Property Description
We acknowledge the Kurnai Brayakoloong People who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we have the privilege of living and working, and waters and creatures therein. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders past and present and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
Our place is designated as Land for Wildlife and it has just enough space for a very small herd of black alpacas, some black australorp chickens, a couple of orchards, a permanent spring-fed creek and an old well-kept, solar-powered, rain fed farmhouse surrounded by gardens.
To inch closer to our heart-goal of restoring most of the land to the damp forest and the safe haven for endangered species it once was, we have been using direct-seeding and tube stock of local indigenous flora.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
Kate first saw how WWOOFing could work in the 90s but was living in the city with no room to offer. Many years later Kate, Christopher and 3 (school-aged) children moved to regional Victoria. Now four of the five (adult) children live and work in the city. This has left us with plenty of space to share and since we prefer to live, learn, create and grow things alongside others, it makes sense to extend an invitation to WWOOFers.
About the accommodation: There is a bungalow with a queen bed and a bedroom in the house with two single beds and a bunk. There is also plenty of room for those who prefer to BYO van or tent. The house has huge open-plan living-dining room and workshop can host a variety of creative activities so we also welcome WWOOFers who are musicians, artists or crafts folk. The farm is an easy 15 min drive from Warragul and its railway station (trains between here and Melbourne city take about 1hr and 40min) and we go to Warragul nearly every day.
WWOOFers will have the opportunity to assist with animal care, orchard and garden maintenance, re-foresting, seasonal paddock slashing and being involved with making preserves, building stone walls and possibly recovering and redeveloping the labyrinth.
Note: We do not require proof of covid vaccination however we do require WWOOFers with symptoms to be fully recovered prior to arrival at the farm.
