This is a good sized garden in the northern suburbs of Canberra where we grow a range of temperate-climate fruit, vegetables and flowers for home use and to gift to friends and neighbours. Visitors will have a comfy bedroom in our house with good wifi coverage. We are looking for people interested in short stays (3-7 days) to do 4-5 hours general gardening a day, leaving plenty of time to explore Canberra. I can pick up from the airport, train or bus station.

What is it like here at Glen Aplin Gardens: A pleasant rural property set into the SE corner of QLD, 3 hours from Brisbane in the Granite Belt near the Severn River. As an eco tourist site, we provide short stay accommodation,  a cafe, with an art craft gallery. It is an undulating property with bushland, and formal rock gardens. The work required to be done: Work includes landscaping, planting, seedling management, mowing lawns & gardening /weeding. There is accommodation for a single person or a couple within in our home in a self contained flat quite separate from the house to give you privacy. We will provide you with food and are happy to share occasional meals where appropriate, but you can  cook in in your own kitchen. No children please. This is a non-smokimg property and non smoking WWOOFers are preferred.  Initial stay 1-4 weeks, then negotiable after that. The people required should be: Mature and responsible with a sound working ethic. We are very happy to teach processes and techniques of work skills such as gardening required. Much of your time will be self managed and unsupervised once you have  a clear understanding of your work tasks. We are flexible and would only wish you to work safely and within you abilities. We will be always on the property and work with you to start with until you are comfortable with each task.

We are an easy going couple who enjoy the great outdoors, mostly sunsets going down over the ocean. We travelled around Australia many moons ago and have ended up in a place we did not expect but dreamed of. We love spending time with our 2 dogs (Labrador's) and coming up with many types of different recycling based projects to make Ecostay's a unique place to visit! We are lucky enough to enjoy our own private beach and are constantly amazed at the ever changing sunsets over the horizon! We are environmentally conscious and are creating 1 bedroom self contained 'up cycled' cottages which provide privacy and a total escape from the real world. You can expect to hear the sound of the waves and the beautiful star covered sky at night. It is so great to have people come from all over the world to come and visit our place, we have both travelled extensively over the years and believe we have a place that is very unique. For some reason its only recently occurred to me to invite woofers here..based on some amazing experiences we had on our own travels.  Life here is not hectic. Work a bit (home brew on the boil) and just enjoying nature! We do not take life seriously and welcome people to say who share the same ideas. We have 3 cottages on the property that we rent out, so pending availability and who comes along we can make things work hopefully.

We moved in to this 100 acre property, situated between Pemberton and Northcliffe in the South West of Western Australia, at the end of last year. It is surrounded by stunning karri forrest and on the crossing of the Bibbulmun walking trail and the Munda Biddi cycling trail. I fell in love with this area whilst mountain biking the Munda Biddi and consider it the most beautiful forest area in WA, so couldn't resist the opportunity to come and live here when this property came on the market. We come from Europe, David from the UK and Annie from Belgium and we have traveled extensively and done a lot of trekking in the Himalayas,  New Zealand, France and Spain. But this country and forest is what we totally fell in love with. There are already very productive netted orchards and also many ponds and a lake for aquaculture. We have introduced bees and there are plenty of marron, the largest freshwater crayfish in the world and pretty tasty. We also have 21 cattle, 6 sheep, 8 chickens, and a couple of worm farms. Plenty of water is also a bonus in this country. We've got the vegie garden started and have plenty of zucchini, tomatoes, beans, chard and cucumber and corn nearly there! Projects include: Constructing and maintaining permaculture gardens and orchards, picking berries and fruit. Planting native flowering plants to introduce bees, propagating and seeding vegetables. Powerful new mulcher has arrived and we will be doing plenty of compost making as well as mulching the gardens and laying new gardens around the cottages. Marron and fish ponds need netting fixed and we want to look at further possibilities for aquaculture. Chickens need to get food sources established, so they have more opportunities to browse. vermiculture - we love worm juice for our gardens. Woodworking shed is getting organised and with a good supply of machinery, upgrading the cottages is next : making steps, verandahs and then an outdoor kitchen/entertaining area, etc. Looking after guests in several cottages on the property and chopping firewood to build up the winter supply is also ongoing. In the kitchen, we love our fermenting: tasty kombucha with the berries that we have picked and frozen or collecting fresh from the orchard; kefir to use with our cereal in the morning. We bake our own buns and make bread with the bread machine.

We are a family home in the Byron Hinterland area (Tintenbar). 18 acres with a beautiful running creek. We have cows, Llamas, Chickens and a dog. We also have 3 year old son who is incredibly social so enjoying the company of children is a must. We are new to this home and are in the stages of cleaning up the grounds to allow the established citrus trees to grow and create the vision we have for this beautiful property. Large scale vegetable gardens will be going in as well as organic herb gardens. We are on tank water so need to be mindful of this during the process as we are in a drought at present. General upkeep of the home and grounds is what we need help with as well as some basic landscaping work anyone with energy and enthusiasm could help with. I am a nutritionist and my husband a builder, we eat organic food wherever possible and have a full filtration system on the entire house for water. Your own room and bathroom would be provided.
