I have space for people now and would really love to host some keen WWOOFers . When the borders are open, how about heading down to our special Island Home ? If there is someone interested in a long term place to live and learn about organic farming, I am open to that. There are areas of usable land that I'm not really able to keep up with, so they could be yours for growing"whatever" to make some income. Hi All you lovely WWOOFers. I'm especially looking for some long term people if they are around. I've been very fortunate to live in this beautiful part of Tasmania for 28 years and just love being able to share it with people from all over the world. There is 19 ha of farm to care for [some bush, pastures and extensive fruit and vegetable gardens]. Then there's millions of ha of stunning mountain and alpine wilderness to explore right behind the farm. Please come and enjoy life for a while. I prefer people to stay at least  one month and have a genuine interest in learning about sustainable farming and living.

Hello! It's a great time of year up at our place! We are a family of four - Todd, Kate, Wimitja (15) and Kinyin (11). We are in the Adelaide Hills but only 15 - 20 minutes from the city center. Good access by public transport. Non smokers only. It is green and beautiful here with loads of great walks, views and animals to see. We are close to the city and a bus route but in the hills with koalas and kangaroos around... We have raised traditional Mongolian yurt which you can sleep in if you like - it is BEAUTIFUL and wwoofers so far have loved it!  We are working on all the associated projects - making woven fences out if vine prunings, making paths, drainage, planting natives. We have been WWOOF hosting for many years now and really enjoy sharing life with people from all around the world. Stories, food, work, laughs and all that comes in between. We want to enjoy hosting you and we want you to enjoy being here! We work on our 3 1/2 acre property with animals, fruit trees, loads of berries, native bush and other garden areas. We are slowly working to make the land and garden more productive and the bush free from ferals. Todd works with homeless people in the city of Adelaide which is 20 minutes away or 1 hour by bike. Kate is a teacher who works with children and young families in Steiner or Waldorf Education from our property running Steiner Nature Playgroups. Our older son breeds chickens and our younger son loves his pet rabbits. Lacey the dog will love you for ever if you throw the ball for her! We enjoy cooking, gardening, preserving food, slow cooking and spending time as a family. We value community and believe in being part of something bigger than ourselves. We love travel but don't do as much these days and hosting WWOOFers is a way to bring bits and pieces of the world alive in our every day life. If you would like to come and spend time with us we prefer stays of one week - then negotiable. We enjoy people who are self motivated and looking to enjoy their days. We love it if you have great skills but are also fine if you are pretty new to it all but are happy to learn. Our home is a place for an open mind and complete respect for each person. No drugs, no smoking and no excessive drinking - let's work, learn and enjoy the days together. Everyone helps with cleaning up after meals and preparing food - your gender is irrelevant! If you are interested in gardening, cooking, permaculture, preserving food, community, Steiner or Waldorf education, telling stories and enjoying good food - this could be for you! The work here is a mix of home and garden and is seasonally dependent - give us a call to see what is happening at the moment. A typical day might include mulching, pruning, weeding, collecting stones for wall building or weaving sticks into fences, planting, preserving seasonal fruit and veg, cleaning and mending in and around the house, etc. We like to provide a variety of jobs and also work to people's skill set. We would love to host an electrician or plumber or builder!!! We limit our screen use but there is wifi available in the house. Our family prefers to enjoy people and life first hand! We enjoy eating together and telling stories and laughing over the meal. We love it when visitors want to cook a meal or two using a recipe from their family or home. We eat a small amount of meat but are most happy to cater for vegetarians as Kate until recently was vego! There is a wealth of things to do around our place in free time - there is a bus to the city to do city based things but we are also close to Mount Lofty, Cleland Wildlife park and our house 5 minutes walk to the Heysen Trail. You can regularly see kangaroos and koalas in the bush around our property and we back onto Horsnell Gully National Park. There is lots of good bush walking around. We look for visitors to work 5 hours a day and to negotiate days off in balance with this. We all share preparing for meals and cleaning up afterwards. Visitors have their own private room and use of the main bathroom (we have an ensuite for us). We are on tank water and solar heating so visitors must be mindful of water usage. No smokers at all.

Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard.  We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. Its great having people come and enjoy the farm with us and join in the lifestyle. We are keen to explore ideas such as care farming and social enterprises. We have a nice new self contained donger set up with kitchen, toilet, bathroom, aircon for you to stay in or you're welcome to bring your own caravan etc. We will be starting our lambing season soon and it would be great to have some help checking and helping the ewes and any lambs that need it. We are also really keen to plant more trees on the farm. We have some seed and the will and just need help with getting things happening this autumn and winter so they have a good chance.

Virtue Farm is a 33 acre property overlooking Fraser Island, and includes 27 acres of remnant forest which will never be developed. The forest is an oasis for bird life and other animals and is great for walking.  We are 10 minutes from Hervey Bay and 10 minutes from the Fraser Island Barge that leaves from River Heads. We have an existing permaculture garden and are upscaling to small farm size. Our house block is 1.5 acres and backs on to the farm land.  We are in the beginning stages of becoming a commercially viable farm, so you will be helping to establish our property.

We ask for five hours of volunteering per day, per person, depending upon the type of work and we can be very flexible in this regard. This could include farm work, vegetable patch work, caring for the chooks, moving small saplings, rock picking, planting, mulching, weeding, harvesting, fencing, land clearing and chopping wood and general home maintenance. If you have any specific skill base or interest we are open to negotiation. In return, we will supply an evening meal shared with us and you can prepare your own breakfasts and lunch from what we supply.

Accommodation  for 4 in a granny flat downstairs, we have 1 room with two king single beds - can be joined to make a king, 1 room with a queen size bed. We can accommodate singles and couples. Mixed diet and a mix of vegetarian and meat based meals.  Whilst we have some capacity to cater for vegans, we will have to learn from you to assist us to cater for your needs and are willing to do so within limits. Internet access is available close to the house.

Virtue Farm acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Butchulla people, where we work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

While you are here, you should make time to go to Fraser Island. We are very flexible and happy to work around dates that you can access which are cheaper for you. Many of our volunteers have found great deals on the “Book Me” website. You would be welcome to leave your property here where it would be safe if you do choose to visit. Additionally, we strongly suggest that you plan for at least a one night overnight stay on Fraser Island; many of our volunteers have done the day tour and loved it, but all say they wished they’d stayed for longer as they felt like they only had a glimpse and not enough time to experience all it has to offer. Those people who stayed for two or three nights seem to have had the best experiences.

We have some back packs and camping gear for volunteers to use (for a small fee to cover wear and tear) if they want to do the longer treks and hikes on Fraser Island. We are also aware that some companies do dual booking between the Whit Sundays and Fraser Island and they have been both popular and economical. As long as you book your trip to Fraser Island from Hervey Bay we are happy to drive you to where you need to be. If you book from Rainbow Beach, then you will have to arrange your own transport as it is about an hour and a half away. We have two bicycles and helmets which we are happy to share so you can spend a day or afternoon in Hervey Bay exploring and experiencing all that our fabulous community has to offer.

There is no public transport to our home, but we are happy to drive into Hervey Bay so you can see our beautiful beaches, piers, parks and lifestyle. There are some lovely walks in the remnant forest on our block and it is always lovely to watch the kangaroos that visit daily. The volunteers that we have had so far have enjoyed their time with us and have been happy to join in with our family and extended family.

You will stay in the two bedroom flat downstairs, with its own bathroom, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle , dining area and lounge room. We have one room with a queen sized bed and one with two king singles. There is a TV, DVD player and some board games, card, paints and mindful colouring books. We also have heaps of Earth Garden magazines and similar to browse.

I own 25 acres of steep, rocky land in W Tree in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Over almost 35 years I have built (with considerable help) a lovely passive solar mudbrick house, planted crazy numbers of trees, gardened and raised my wonderful son. In many ways I have worked towards a dream from my early 20's to build a country life. My place is lovely. The vast expanse of bushland that surrounds it is beyond spectacular.   We can Sign off on your 2nd Year Visas as we were effected by the 2019-2020 Bushfires.

A 380 acre family farm since 1961 completely surrounded by National Park. Originally dairy, then beef now with a focus on truffle & beef. Our rammed earth and strawbale home is open annually for Sustainable House Day and showcases masonry heater, composting toilets, solar power, rainwater, fire resistant design, ... We were one of the farms around Cobargo that was burnt in the 2020 Blacksummer fires. We saved our home and all sheds, but lost fences, trees and grass.
