Short Property Description
Hello, we hope you visit us at Che Sara Sara Chalets. 180 acres of mostly beautiful bushland and forest on the Frankland River, 20 mins north-east of Walpole, Western Australia.
We have a productive large garden, lots of natives as well as ornamental plants, a big vegetable patch, a small fruit orchard, and a small avocado orchard. We also have chickens, ducks, and cows and love incorporating animal manure, compost, worms, and mulch produced on the property to create a lush environment.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We produce compost and mulch on the farm and incorporate that as well as animal manure to improve the soil health and provide nutrients to the plants. We try and grow most of our fresh food on the farm, sometimes including mushrooms. We do a lot of manual pruning and weeding on the farm and try and use as much of the natural materials here as we can.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We are so privileged to enjoy this beautiful property and it is important for us to share this place as much as we can. We have plenty of permaculture and gardening/horticultural skills to share with others.
I have learnt from my mother and father, who established the property 35 years ago, mainly using organic permaculture principles. Growing up, we always had travelers and visitors staying and helping on the property, resulting in lifelong friends and I would like to continue that was of sharing.
