Work includes pruning, mulching, picking berries, compost making, feeding animals, picking & preserving garden produce & GFM, depending on skills & interest. We offer a piano, guitars, mountain bikes & internet access for your use. Can P/U from Sale, Stratford or Maffra with prior notice. City/Town: Dangar Island,
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
A heritage house with large garden. No chemicals have been used for over 40 years and it is a mainly food garden. We are on a traffic free island, with a train station and ferry access. It is a small community with a shop and bowling club. I like to cook and I love gardening but I am getting older and have asthma so would appreciate basic garden help. I'm a great cook and you will have a nice room to yourself with above average accommodation. I was an Airbnb Superhost but have stopped that since the virus as my health would be compromised. Outside your 4 hours minimum work, you can explore the bush, sit on the beach, talk to the locals, all the quiet, nice things to do. Bird sanctuary. About 330 people and 44 children on this island.

City/Town: outside of Cobargo
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: Caravan
Our 20 acre farm is surrounded by bush in the Bega Valley near Cobargo. The Dec 2019/2020 fires came close, 800m away, but we were so lucky to be spared. We are experimenting with growing food that we use and give away. We had a huge crop of 6000 garlic a few years ago, this year we have 213 tomatoes! And a bunch of delicious salads, onions, pumpkins, potatoes and giant sunflowers. We need help to realise our dreams but also to maintain the ones we have started. We both work as writers and researchers and the garden is our favourite fun. To take it and many projects and ideas to the next stage, including Chicken World and planting a bunch of fruit trees, we are keen for some WWOOF friends to join us to leapfrog forward.

For 35 years now, on 940 acres of diverse plateau-edge forest with spectacular gorge pools and waterfalls, we two zoologists have created an off-grid, solar, gravity, wood and people powered - experiment in sustainable food gardening and land, fire and wildlife management. Work hours are flexible, tasks varied, fruit, vegies, nuts etc fresh from the large garden/orchard/swales and diet mixed.
