Hello, we are Katrina and Finn and we live at Beachwood. It is a 2 acre patch of land that is part of the Eco-Village in the beautiful Currumbin Valley. Situated in the hinterlands of the Gold Coast, Queensland, we are just ten minutes from the BEACH and half an hour from all a city can offer. The bus pictured is the woofers accom! So far, people love it! Katrina is an architect/builder/ and Finn is a sculptor/builder/musician we have a lot to share with a willing worker and we always try to have fun while we create! We speak French, German and welcome all cultures... Here on Beachwood we grow as much of our own food as possible. We are building our own unique timber framed  house, as well as maintaining the land and undertaking a number of other interesting projects. We are looking for WWoofers that have building skills to help us finish our unique hand-made timber house and general gardening skills.

Brent and Lisa are building a hempcrete house in Hazelbrook, a village in the mid Blue Mountains, with lots of friends and family to call on for help, but it’s a big job, and we need all the help we can get! The building site is next door to our home, which we hope to open to WWOOFers keen to learn, and to become a central part of redefining what sensible, sustainable housing should look like! You’ll be sharing our home with our ridiculously affectionate (once you get to know her) Kelpie cross, Thea, at least two chooks, possibly a brushturkey, and a wide variety of other native fauna. We are close to town and the train station, many magnificent local walks, and the Lawson pool (with a spare car too), and are only 20 minutes away from Katoomba, the thriving hub of the Mountains. We need reliable helpers to join us in providing support to our broad network of friends and vollies to mix, pour and pack the Hempcrete to form the walls, and who are interested in experiencing life in the Blue Mountains!

Palm Creek Plantation is located 45km south of Townsville on the Bruce Highway, at the base of Mt Elliot. We were the first commercial grower of the Achacha in the world, and remain by far the largest with 16,000 Achacha trees. we sell the Achacha fruit within Australia and overseas - to the UK, Germany, other European countries, Hong Kong and Canada. The Achacha fruit comes from the Amazon Basin in Bolivia. It is similar in size to the lychee, rambutan and mangosteen, but has only one third the sugar content of these other fruits. Taste experts describe it as "sweet, tangy, refreshing - like a sorbet". It has excellent health properties. Check achacha.com.au for full information on the fruit and its story. I have been a WWOOF Host since December 2013, my original Host number was QT291   Checkout a Blog WWOOF Australia completed on us: https://wwoof.com.au/what-is-achacha-fruit-wwoof-in-qld-and-find-out-today/

We own a 1/10th share of a 100 acre property adjoining state forest, some 10km WSW of Kuranda. Great bushwalking through Blue Gum & rainforest with some seasonal creeks and abundant bird life. We have built a solar powered house which is naturally air conditioned via a tunnel & hot air vent tower. Our surrounds are very peaceful. Kuranda is only busy during the day, so if you are into night-life, this is not for you. Work is 20hrs/week, mainly gardening, trail building, painting, caring for solar system, and other fun activities. We have 2 large bedrooms with QB, one with en-suite & one with shared shower/toilet. We have 4 friendly dogs inside, not suitable if you are allergic to animal hair. LGBTQI+friendly. Mixed diet, vegetarian and vegan friendly. NSI. We can p/u from Kuranda.

We (Christy and DJ) have the most wonderful piece of paradise in Northern NSW, in the Byron Hinterland. We have owned our little piece of heaven for about 2.5 years. Our working farm has 400 mature, organic avocado trees that had been neglected for several years before we bought the property. We are working hard to give these beauties the care they need to thrive once again.
