Also E: firstname.lastname@example.org We are have been certified for over 28 years Bio-dynamic and our home is 2900 acres of Demeter Certified Bio-dynamic land in rolling hills, 2 hours south of Perth. Our family farm Is run by Myself (William) my Wife Kelly and our son Vincent. There’s always something to do on Boraning(the farm). Our son Vincent Manages the Farm, jobs with him will include cutting and collecting wood, building yards, fencing, feeding mobs of cattle or sheep, checking the farm animals, and keeping the farm running. On Boraning we have four houses that require regular maintenance from gardening to cleaning. We have a farm stay Cottage where we have people coming to stay regularly. The Christian Community Centre, this is were wwoofers will live with Vincent. We also have an office with working internet if you need to contact family or have access to a computer, and finally, the Boraning Homestead where Kelly and I live. We work together in a group every morning doing cleaning and gardening. On different mornings we work at different houses so they all get the attention needed. we have breakfast all together each morning except on weekends, we have movie nights on Friday and celebrate the week’s achievements and rest over the weekend.
If you love going on adventures there are plenty of beautiful places to visit on the farm. There are lakes for swimming, long walks to go on, horses to go look at and plenty of fun to be had. If you want to learn to ride or you have experience with horses we often go out for rides around Boraning. We are also some of the only people in the Southern part of WA that still muster cattle with our horses, if you’re willing to learn we can also train you to Muster cattle and sheep on Horseback, this is something that very few people in the world will ever get to experience.
On the farm, we have close to a thousand cattle in parts of the year, over three hundred sheep and around fifty horses. We train and break in the horses, so if you have experience with horses and want to come somewhere to work, we are looking to widen our staff, short and long term.
We are currently looking for people with skills in the following activities-
Farm maintenance, gardening, machinery maintenance(mechanical and electrical), fencing, welding, building, stock handling, yard building, woodwork, chainsawing, mowing, whipper snipping, horse handling – halter training young stock, breaking in young horses and riding trained horses.
If you don’t have experience in any of these fields then a can-do positive attitude and being able to learn quickly is all you will need. It will help a huge amount if you do have a car or truck licence.
The Christian Comunity Centre is where we have had wwoofers living now over the last eleven years, its a shared house with a shared laundry, 3 bathrooms, 2 showers, and 4 bedrooms. we have an entertainment room with TV and plenty of films, a big open kitchen and living room with a fireplace and a Cafe attached to the house. Everyone in the Community Centre must do cleaning and unless you have been told to cook for yourself we eat most meals together. Keeping the space clear and clean and having a great attitude is very important. We are not interested in having people come and pollute the enviroment with a bad attitude. Bullying will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with someone then always feel free to bring it up at any meal or privately with Kelly, Vincent or Myself. If you are looking to come for a nice time and potter around doing what you want, or you are just looking for a way to extend your visa this is not the place for you. If you want to experience a bio-dynamic farm that is broad acre and work alongside people who are pioneers in this part of the world of farming in being Bio-dynamic and Organic, and you have a great attitude and want to learn more and you’re out to expeirence old fashioned farming and horse work then please contact us about coming.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We became WWOOF hosts in 1994 because we are passionate about biodynamic/organic agriculture, gardening, our lifestyle and we wanted to share with people who are interested to come and learn through ‘doing’. On a 2,900 acre biodynamic farm such as ours there are almost unlimited activities we can choose to do in a day and we find the life we have so exciting we want to share this with as many people as we possibly can have here at any one time. We have had beautiful people from all over the world to come to Boraning and this has enriched both our life and theirs in many ways. We also love hearing about the people who come here and learn from them also about the life they lead back in their homeland. WWOOF is an amazing organisation which helps people with common interests to find each other!
