Short Property Description
Small self sustaining family hobby farm near Litchfield National Park and Berry Springs. It’s a beautiful farming g region only 45mins to Darwin. A beautiful oasis hobby farm, lots of animals and gardening, with loads of great options nearby for swimming, fishing, and adventures. Also not far from all the fun of Darwin!
Organic/Biological methods we use
Circular and permiculture are the most common practices on our farm. Because we have bees we don’t use chemicals and there is no waste, we use the seeds from what we eat to plant, the manure from our animals to fertilise, the egg shells and ash to deter pest. We feed scraps to the animals, we process and butcher our own animals and the remains are made into dog food or compost. We plan to upgrade our solar to become fully off grid in the future.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We have had a variety of backpackers and grey nomads visit and help out over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. We as a family enjoy visitors from all parts of the world learning from them and their experiences.
We thought this would be an opportunity to meet interesting travellers and share our farming lifestyle.
