Why I became a WWOOF Host

Sam and I both enjoy travelling and experiencing new ideas and cultures, so being a Wwoof host is a way to connect with like-minded people and also to share the experience of living off-grid in a more environmentally friendly way than most people, surrounded by amazing scenery and biodiversity. But living off-grid isn’t ‘easy’ – there is much work to do, and the practical advantage of having like-minded souls willing to help out and get their hands dirty to help us regenerate our rainforests and grow our orchard, and pitch in with the many jobs involved in living off-grid, is priceless. We aim to give every Wwoofer an enjoyable experience, and we are happy to show them around the many natural wonders of our property (creeks/waterfalls/swimming holes/panoramic lookouts/rainforest tracks etc), and offer weekly excursions to markets/cafes/quaint little villages etc.
