Short Property Description
We are a retired husband and wife team (Australian and Japanese respectively) living on a 10 acre former papaya plantation in lush tropical north Queensland. We are converting the property back to rainforest and food forest.

The work is mostly weed control, potting up seedlings, planting out local rainforest species, mulching and follow-up watering. There is also some property maintenance work for those interested, that involves mowing and slashing.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
As a former backpacker I loved travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I’m now a retired environmental scientist that greatly appreciates the assistance in regenerating the rainforest in this beautiful part of the world.
