Short Property Description
Hi I’m Sarah,
I run a small sheep farm in the very beautiful Pipers River in North East Tasmania. We have 700 crossbred ewes that will be lambing in late July/early August. Our lambs are bred for the premium meat market. Alongside this I have a large veggie garden and flower garden that are much in need of some love and care. I am a mother to 3 great kids that are aged between 7-12. We are a active and creative family and enjoy going to the local beaches (15 minutes away) bike riding, arts and craft, cooking, music and gardening. I am looking for someone who is comfortable in a family home environment and enjoys engaging with children. The main tasks would be mostly gardening and some light farm duties, such as checking sheep, or helping with animal husbandry, feeding chooks etc. We also have two pet dogs, Daisy the Jack Russell and Loius the Border collie.
I am an Art teacher at a local high school and currently doing a Masters Degree in Art therapy. So as a single mum, life is full and busy and I would be so grateful to have some support with the farm and garden. Accommodation is a private upstairs bedroom, small bathroom and lounge room.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I love meeting new people, especially from other countries and cultures and feel that it would be wonderful opportunity for my children. I would also be very grateful to have some assistance with the farm and garden as I currently feel that I am unable to keep up managing everything by myself.
