    Short Property Description

Dynamic Certified Organic Farm looking for equally as dynamic wwoofers. We run a fully certified farm from fence to fence which includes lemons, limes, macadamias, avocados as the main crops and trial crops of ginger, turmeric, garlic and if we can make it work a market garden. Lots of produce packed into a small farm. We also host 2 accommodation units which are awesome, and it gives a chance to meet so many new people. On the side we are restumping the house among other little projects and fitting out an off-grid hut. We don’t smoke or drink but love a laugh. There’s just the three of us – me Mal, moomoo the cattle dog, and Lilly the resident cat. Its all about the positive vibe on the farm so bring a smile and great attitude and you’ll feel the magic happen.

    Organic/Biological methods we use

We aim for a closed loop system as much as we can. We construction johnson-su bioreactors which we use to build our microbial workforce. The use of controlled pathways limits traffic compaction to the soil. A microscope is used to identify what microbial life is having fun on the farm. The use of on farm composts are generated and used to enhance and work with nature. We promote the growth of the under carriage and rarely is the greenery mowed unless we are working in the area or the need to refresh the life.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

Being a WWOOF host will enable us to extend our knowledge to others and enable us to learn of others, while also catching up on farm fun. There’s never a dull moment on the farm and if we can share the love in ticking off projects how cool would that be. I also would love to hear more stories over the dinner table and challenge people to a few card games of which I need a lot of practice. We have a lot of knowledge to share and would also love other offerings that could help us out too such as building knowledge, new experiences that maybe not farm related such as meditation – we are very open to everything
