Here it is natural farming methods of producing beef, fruit and vegetables that are used here.there are large veggie gardens and extensive fruit orchards with a big variety of fruit that bear during the season-trickle watering. This ensures juicy produce, the working dogs & horses require years of training, there is minimal reliance on machinery but a wood splitter machine has been a boon to getting the wood supply done, an axe has proved to be out of date, it surely minimises the amount of hard work. Chooks also help supply plenty of eggs when they are laying.

Bonnie Brae is a 1000 acre farm which has transitioned into regenerative agriculture in the past year from industrial agriculture. The farms main income is Merino sheep, both for wool and meat. However we have a very large vegetable garden and orchard which we are still looking to expand. The farm is owned by Don and Prue McAllister (65), and Dougal (27) is taking over the farm and manages the day to day work. Hilary (30), the daughter of Don and Prue is also home during Covid 19. Volunteer tasks for WWOOFers will include working and expanding the vegetable garden, fencing, painting, building maintenance, cooking, cleaning, picking pistachios, tree planting and much more. If WWOOFers have any skills or ideas, we would be more than welcome to let them explore their interests and put them into practice.

Have been living on our beautiful, organic farm for over 20 years. It is full of fruit trees, our cows, vegie gardens, birds, bush, lizards, fireflys and a dam and creek to swim in. We are working towards turning part of the farm into an ecotourist caravan/cabin/camping space, so people can come and enjoy nature. I, (Melina) work as a herbalist/yoga teacher/masseuse in a clinic I run in town, in nearby Macksville. Neri Murphy (my 23 year old son) organises the farm. We spend most mornings together, one day doing farm work, the next day going for a surf at the local beach. We recently purchased a caravan so we could have WWOOFers come and stay again, so if you come and visit you will have your own space. We have really good internet and good phone reception.

We are 10 acres, about 1 acre under zone 0 and zone 1; yes, big permi principles in our design and thinking is ongoing. we work in health care and social research, violence prevention, gender environment and marginalised voice equality raising. we would love to share our space with some wwoofer helpers again. so many things to do.... mary river festival organising involvement, even
