Short Property Description

Join Our Vineyard Family in Tasmania!

Hello! We’re Victoria and Ben, along with our two energetic boys, Raphaël and Eric, and our lovable dog, Milla. We run a small, family-owned vineyard on the beautiful Tasmania Peninsula, and right now, we could really use an extra pair (or two!) of hands.

If you’re passionate about gardening, or just looking to get your hands dirty in the great outdoors, we’d love to have you help with daily tasks like vine tucking and pruning—perfect for the season!

We’re offering a cozy studio overlooking the vines, complete with its own bathroom and toilet, so you can enjoy your privacy while staying right in the heart of the vineyard. Plus, you’ll have access to Wi-Fi for when you need to unwind.

Meals are on us! We enjoy delicious, locally sourced food, and we’re happy to accommodate different dietary preferences. We ask that you pitch in with cooking, cleaning, and just being a positive, friendly part of the team.

If you’re interested in joining our little slice of paradise and making some great memories together, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Please note also that the Tasman Peninsula has very little transport (e.g. only one bus a day!), having your own vehicle is preferable.

Update: we will be gone camping for a few weeks end of May/early June – best to you in the meantime!

Cheers,
Ben, Victoria, Raphaël, Eric & Milla

Organic/Biological methods we use

🌱 **Working with Nature, Not Against It** 🌿

At our vineyard on the Tasman Peninsula, we believe great wine starts with healthy soil and thriving biodiversity. We use **biological and ecologically responsible methods** to care for our vines — farming in harmony with the land rather than relying on chemicals or heavy intervention.

Some of the things we do include:
🍂 **Encouraging natural balance** – we use compost, mulch, and organic matter to feed the soil and support beneficial microorganisms. Healthy soil = resilient vines.
🐞 **Promoting biodiversity** – native plants, wildflowers, and cover crops attract pollinators and natural pest predators, reducing the need for sprays.
🚜 **Minimal intervention** – we avoid synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Instead, we rely on natural solutions, like biological teas, compost extracts, and manual weed management.
💧 **Caring for water and wildlife** – we manage our water use carefully and maintain natural habitats for birds, insects, and small animals around the property.
🌾 **Regeneration over extraction** – our goal is to leave the land richer, more alive, and more resilient than when we started.

By joining us, you’ll learn hands-on how ecological viticulture works — from nurturing the soil to observing how every small action contributes to a healthy ecosystem (and, of course, better wine 🍷!).

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We decided to become Woofers hosts because we truly believe in the power of community and the joy of sharing our beautiful vineyard with others. Our family has built this vineyard on the stunning Tasmania Peninsula, and we’ve always felt that it’s more than just a place to work—it’s a place to connect, grow, and learn together.

Having two young boys and a playful dog means our life is filled with energy and adventure, and we wanted to extend that warmth to people who are looking for an authentic experience on the land. By hosting Woofers, we get the opportunity to meet like-minded people who are eager to help out with our daily tasks like vine tucking and fruit harvesting, while also creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.

We offer a cozy, private space where guests can unwind and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the vineyard, and we love the idea of sharing our home-cooked meals made from local ingredients. For us, it’s about building lasting connections, learning from each other, and creating a fun, fulfilling experience for all involved.

Ultimately, hosting Woofers allows us to bring a bit of the world into our lives while also helping others learn about sustainable farming, gardening, and living in a tight-knit, friendly environment. We can’t wait to welcome new faces and share our slice of paradise with you!
