Short Property Description
Our family property is in a very, very beautiful part of Australia, right at the Southern base of Mount Warning. It is surrounded by 3 World Heritage National Parks and is a highly pristine, tranquil and secluded wilderness environment. Our property is 100 acres of mostly forested land. It has a creek, walking tracks, wildlife and gorgeous views out over the National Park mountains. All that can be seen is mountains and trees, it is amazing. We have a small cleared area on the side of the mountain where we have our house, a cabin, a camping area, a dam, greenhouses, and a syntropic system. We also have spaces set aside for future market gardening and commercial hemp cultivation. We love living and working here!
We are able to provide the 88 day visa extension allowance, for disaster recovery assistance.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We are in the process of setting up a small scale teaching farm. We are both experienced teachers and we are passionate about sharing knowledge with other people. We run workshops and help people to learn about Syntropic Agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, market gardening, industrial hemp cultivation and permaculture design and principles, all in a homestead environment on our family property. We are joining WWOOF because we are interested in working with and teaching like minded people who are really interested in this way of life and an alternative way of working with food production and nature. We are super keen to teach people who are really interested in learning about different ways to do things! We would also like the opportunity to have people to work with and to help us with whatever projects we have going on 🙂
We are able to provide the 88 day visa extension allowance, for disaster recovery assistance.
Some practical/necessary info:
– Currently John works “off land” for approx 2 days a week, so he will only be available to work with guests for 3 days a week. This means that we will do 3 days of approx 6-7 hours of work together, rather than say 5 days of 4 hours of work…
– Currently accommodation is split between a cleared out section of our unfinished hempcrete cabin (for sleeping and relaxing) and our camp site (for kitchen, shower and toilet). The cabin and camp site are a short walk away from each other through our syntropic field. We only have a washing machine up in our main house, which guests are welcome to use.
