Most of the animals '- over 90 sheep, donkeys, horses, cows, pigs, a goat, maremma dogs, ducks, chickens, alpaca, turkeys are very friendly & the property is elevated and has good views, with the old farmhouse dated back to pioneering days built with bricks from the clay off the property. Its a magical place and you can tell from how relaxed the animals are. It's only 60kms from Wave Rock - a big tourist draw-card.

We are a small scale farm located within the swan valley 25 min drive from Perth. Our primary area of farming is animal husbandry. We have cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens that we feed and look after daily. We also farm fruit and veg and produce wood fired bread that we sell at our weekend market stall at the front of our property.

The Avocado Tree Farm is an 80 acre, certified organic avocado farm located in the Mary Valley, Queensland. We - John and Julia Tidy are the owners and live here with our 21 year old son, Nic, and our 19 year old daughter, Catherine. We have two kelpie dogs, Pip and Evie. We also run sheep, cattle and chickens. There is a tiny home and a cabin on the property which we Airbnb. Should you be interested in helping on our farm, your accommodation would either be in the house or a room a short distance from the house. Both have their own en-suites. Duties are varied and could include: helping on the orchard, picking and packing avocados, gardening, mowing, whipper-snipping and cleaning. John and Julia love to get to know their guests and are very welcoming as they have travelled in the past. Some of our previous guests have become like family and have returned to visit or have hosted Catherine in Europe when she did an OE. You will be welcomed and given opportunities to help out in jobs you prefer and you will have time to visit the local area.

We have heard so many great things about WWOOFing and have always wanted to have an experience like this. We love learning new things, whether it be about culture, nature, or even about the lives of the people we meet. We love Australia and need to complete our 88 days, and figured, what better way to do it than this!

I want to join WWOOFing because I believe it’s the best way to experience Australia in a meaningful way. Traveling is not just about visiting places for me; it’s about connecting with people, learning new skills, and immersing myself in different lifestyles. I love the idea of giving a helping hand in exchange for a unique cultural experience. Whether it’s working outdoors, taking care of animals, or learning about sustainable living, I’m always eager to contribute and grow. This journey is also an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and create unforgettable memories with great people. I look forward to meeting amazing hosts and sharing good times together 🙂

8 acres of native regeneration, organic orchard and Garden. We are on the Banks of the Mongarlowe River where we are nurturing beautiful unimproved native pastures, gardens and an old orchard. We were impacted by the 2019/20 Black Sumer Fires and we working hard to manage weeds and the massive regowth that's occured over the last few years. We are close to the Monga National Park.  An ancient Gondwana remanent forest type and the source of the Mongarlowe River, one of the cleanest rivers in NSW it flows parallel to the escarpment for 40kms before turning inland. This small parcel of land, was cleared agricultural land over 50 years ago, when it subdivided off a large property to build a trout farm that never worked. Patrick purchased this property in 1979, and it’s been slowly regenerating ever since. Over the last 10 to 15 years, it’s reached a point in its regeneration where we are now gardening by subtraction.  There has been so much regrowth that we are in a process of removing and planting vegetation develop this site. We have a large food garden, primarily for personal use.    When fully operational we will sell excess produce, seedlings and seeds at the local markets. We are 17 km from the nearest town - we can provide some transport to and from town where needed.   Woofers with a manual drivers licence or a car of their own would be ideal.

Note: 88 day 2nd year Visa flood recovery volunteer work offered. Minimum 3 week stay, with first week a trial to make sure you are enjoying the work and fit in. Summerleigh is a family farm in the Macedon Ranges. Jack and I are city escapees and regenerative farmers, inspired by the likes of Alan Savory, Joel Salatin and Charles Massey. Our goal is to improve the ecosystem and soils by integration of livestock, mainly cattle and chickens, to produce healthy, chemical free and nutrient dense food and we hope to soon add a small market garden to supplement our direct to market egg and beef business. We are also in the process of revegetating a sizable wildlife corridor and wetland habitat along the permanent creek in the valley below the homestead and hope to return the gardens around the homestead to their former glory, with an orchard and ornamental flower beds. Please note: work to be done along the creek qualifies as flood recovery and counts towards your 88-day visa renewal. In other words, whatever your passion is…horticulture, agriculture, tree planting, ecological restoration, rewilding, biodynamics, permaculture, holistic management, carpentry, fencing, welding, growing, producing and cooking food, rotational grazing, chicken caravans, we almost certainly have something for you to put your hands, enthusiasm and head to. The homestead is circa 1876 and she is quite a grand old lady, originally built by the Sir Rupert Clarke family for the first owner, John Hurst, esq., in exchange for land in what is now Clarkefield. You will be part of the family with your own room in the homestead and, between us, we speak/understand Italian, Spanish, French, German and Danish/Swedish/Norwegian. We have five dogs, two cats and two budgies, three Icelandic horses, a pony and a pig. Not all in the house!   We love to play tennis after dinner and also have pool that is, sadly, being renovated, so have swims in the waterhole on hot afternoons, a good way to cool off. If any of that sounds at all appealing please do get in touch Regards Lucy & Jack

I joined WWOOF to hopefully gain some valuable experience in farming and develop greener thumbs. Since I’m 21 years old, I have some ideas about what I want to do in the future, but I always find it valuable to broaden my experiences. Apart from hospitality, I’ve worked with children at summer camp as a trusted adult, and I’ve also worked with elderly care. I hope to make some great memories, gain new ideas, and learn more about myself to figure out what I want to do in life.

I am a 29 year old woman currently living in Jan Juc. I currently live with 2 housemates and I have a dog named Coco who is a beautiful chocolate bits-a-everything. I am currently working as an inhome support worker. I have been on the SurfCoast Victoria for around 7 years and absolutely love everything that this environment provides me with. I am a keen surfer and just love everything about the outdoors and nature. I have studied permaculture and have a keen interested in organic farming and sustainability. I worked as a gardener and landscaper for about 12 months. This passion has become a lifestyle for me and now I am just looking for more hands on experiences to gain extra knowledge for myself and to pass onto others. I really hope to have my own organic farm one day so gathering as many experiences and learning as much as possible through others is the key to filling those hopes and dreams.

Heartwood Farm is a 7 acre property at Newrybar in the Byron Bay Hinterland. The farm includes a mixed orchard, an intensive market garden, pasture, and a rainforest revegetation project, all managed organically. WWOOFers will be exposed to the techniques of intensive organic fruit and vegetable production, including green manuring, composting, and crop rotation, along with rainforest regeneration. Heartwood is still in its development phase, so WWOOFers will also be exposed to a sustainability-focused design process emerging from landscape and climate observations of this unique location.

I joined WWOOF because I was looking for a short-term (volunteer)job in Australia. I have met so many people during my travel that were VERY enthusiastic about Australia so it got me really curious. I would love to learn more about farm work and gardening and to really be part of the Australian life.

I’ve been interested in farming for a long time because my grandparents used to run a farm. When I was a child, I often helped them out with my cousins, and those moments became some of my most treasured childhood memories. Ever since I decided to go on a working holiday in Australia, WWOOFing has been one of my goals. There are three main reasons why I want to join: 1. I want to experience real farm life and reconnect with those childhood memories. 2. I’m eager to learn new skills and contribute through physical work—I find meaning in working with my hands. 3. I believe staying with local hosts will help me understand a new culture more deeply. Also, I hope to meet the requirements for a second working holiday visa by working for at least three months !
