Short Property Description
We live on a farm/bush property close to the national park. Candelo is a picturesque country village less than 30 mins drive from the most beautiful tourist attractions including beaches, lakes and only 5 minutes to the National Parks and forests. We grow Australian bush foods, native flowers and eucalyptus in a timber plantation. We are also involved in tree planting for the koala recovery project.
We have a mud brick home with great views, bush walking, fishing and swimming nearby. Candelo is also well known for its great live music scene and friendly locals.
On our property animals include horses, cows, dogs, ducks and chickens and lots of native birds and wildlife.
The Work Required:
Work is varied, helping with animals, gardens, orchard, vegetables and selling farm produce, bush food jams & preserves at local markets. Other projects include nursery work, landscaping, painting or even creating interesting garden sculptures.
Excellent accommodation for two (or more) in a separate cabin with a cosy wood heater and own bathroom/kitchen. Shared meals or cook your own if preferred. We love having WWOOFers and have made many lasting friendships. We have even had WWOOFers parents visit us several times.
