Because there are many classroom lectures at university, we want to learn more about agriculture by experiencing the work of farmers. We both have experience working with farmers in Japan, but we also want to know about overseas farmers. If you accept us as wwoofers, we would like to work as a part of you! We are especially interested in growing vegetables and fruits, as well as raising livestock. We'd also like to communicate a lot and learn from you about practical farming skills and thoughts on how to be environmentally friendly and sustainable.

I'm interested in agriculture. When I was a junior high school student, I did a farm stay in Nagano, Japan. The farmer was growing strawberry and I helped to weed in the farm. Then, I enjoyed the work in the farm and I thought that I want to be a famer. Now, I’m a farmer in Japan. I want to know about Australia agriculture and culture in order to broaden my horizons. Australia's agricultural land is so big and Australia is rich in nature. I want to see it for myself. And I want to learn English to be a good English speaker. I want to make foreign friends and I want to know various ways of thinking. I’ve never traveled abroad by myself, so although I’m looking forward to it, I feel a little nervous. I want to increase experience and I want to improve my communication skill. Thank you.

I joined WWOOF because a friend who was also traveling through Australia recommended it to me. I´d like to live and work on a certified farm and I think WWOOF is the right platform to find one.

I have known WWOOF for a while now, and I have been wanting to volunteer in one of many farms around the world. Inspired by a sustainable farm in Yogyakarta, the city where I live back home in Indonesia, where they have this beautiful place with animals and crops, I really want to know more about things such as sustainable living, permaculture, or growing our own food. While I am trying to make the most of my time while I am here in Australia, I would also love to listen to stories from you and the way you are living your life. It would be exciting and meaningful experience to know what it’s like to have a farm life, hoping that one day I will have a farm like yours as well. And also, I want to learn your family recipe! I remember the time when I bought brussel sprout for the first time not knowing how to cook them properly.

I want to learn more about working on a farm and animals. I visited some permaculture farms in Costa Rica and I really loved it! I loved how the workers enjoyed working and I loved all the tasks that we needed to do! I am joining Wwoof because there are plenty of options to work on a farm.

I want to learn more about organic farming, permaculture, nature conservation, off grid living and traditional building. I'm interested in living in a smallholding/intentional community in future. I've been part of several land-based projects in Bristol, including working at a farm with adults with disabilities, as well as working at forest school holiday camps. I’ve also volunteered for a community market garden and wildflower nursery. I really enjoyed this experience, and want to build on the basic organic growing and animal care skills that I've learned.

I joined woof because I want to meet people living in Australia to discover the different customs, and their ways of working and living. It would also allow me to discover new jobs because I am currently questioning my future professional life. But still because woof seems to be a platform allowing people without much means to exchange its services for accommodation.

I joined WWOOF to fulfill my longtime dream opening my world to new places, people, ways of living, growing, sharing, caring, working being and hopefully with better ideas of how I could manage the land I might one day own. My brother who is now organic, free range chicken farmer woofed in quite a few locations around New Zealand with inspiring stories. Woofers have been at times on there farm when they grew organic herbs and salad plants, joining us for occasions like Christmas they we're always interesting people, with stories of travel etc. Woofers often future on New Zealand country calendar these farms are always forward thinking with good energy. As an older woman traveling alone on limited budget Woofing is also a great option to meet inspiring people of the land with knowledge to share of the history of the area, there practices. There is local produce and produced produce and how to prepare these is definitely something to look forward to. Woofing has been a long held dream and I am excited to have this opportunity to live it in Australia.

We joined WWOOF for the great experience it offers and the opportunity to meet new people. It is also a great way to save money and still have a brilliant time. WWOOF also seems like an amazing way to grow as people and learn more about yourself. We hope to use this to see Australia from a different perspective to our other travels.

I joined WWOOF because I want to experience WA, country life, living on farms, being part of a group and hanging out with some locals in country towns and experiencing what it would be like if I lived there. Something you can’t experience if you are not living with a local. I was part of the WWOOF program several years ago as a host and I just loved the interaction with my volunteers. I also WWOOFed overseas and have some wonderful memories of the families I stayed with.

Last June to July 2023, I had the pleasure of visiting Western Australia as a tourist, and I fell in love with the stunning landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and warm, welcoming Aussie culture. This experience left an indelible mark on me, prompting my decision to return in March 2024 for a more immersive and fulfilling journey through the WWoofing program.

I have always been interested in homestays abroad, and I decided to join wwoof after a friend introduced me to it. I have always loved farming and interacting with animals. When I heard that I could do a homestay there and also help with farm work and animal care, I really wanted to go there, so I decided to participate. If I was going abroad for the first time, I would like to do a homestay to get to know my family and make new friends. Another reason is that I do not have many opportunities to listen to native English, so I thought it would be nice to be able to speak and understand even just a little bit. I would like to be able to interact with many people through English, improve my English even a little, and do activities that I would not normally be able to do to improve my experience and skills.

I joined WWOOF  because  I want to experience the country trough another lens. I'd like to volunteer a few weeks on different farms during my trip to get in touch with locals, helping out, spend time in nature and learn more about organic farming. Hoping to explore new places and to meet inspiring people. By working as a Wwoofer I want to step outside my comfort zone, learning new skills and living in new ways.
