We joined WWOOF because we want to reduce our environmental impact and try to live our lives in a sustainable way. We are both quite practical but we would like to offer our time and energy to learn new skills from our hosts that we can take with us in our journey to becoming more self-sufficient. And of course we look forward to visiting all the places in Australia we've not yet explored!

Through 2021, I'm looking to experience intentional communities with organic leanings 🙂 Last year I house-sat in one of the older ecovillages, Crystal Waters. I'm beginning 2021 with a month in Maleny's newest ecovillage EVA. February to December stretch out ahead as great unknown. With Diana Leafe Christiansen's excellent 'Finding Community' in hand. Ideally I'll join each place for a month, learning more about different ways of being in community.

I've done WWOOFing before in France, first time WWOOFing in Australia. I loved my past WWOOFing experience, learning about farming and sustainable farming methods, treating the land with respect, and meeting all sorts of interesting people. I hope to repeat this experience in Australia. Since we can't go travelling all over the world right now, I'm keen to explore closer to home and feel very lucky to be able to travel through Australia at the moment!

Skills I Want to Learn:
I believe the life in farms will be able to become useful experiences for me, not only improving my English , but also building dense human relationships. I'd like to make friends with the people who are living in Australia and other wwoofers from different countries. I wish I have an opportunity to stay with people in different culture and work in a farm.

I think WWOOF is a good way to make yourself useful and get to know about permaculture, local life, people and the country at the same time. I got very much interested into permaculture during my first WWOOF stay and I would be happy to start my own veggie/fruit garden when I get back home.

We would like to discover a new culture, jobs, experiences, people and to improve our English. We would like to offer our skills (mostly learn from you) in any work to help you, like gardening, animal caring, fencing, dairy, organic practices... We have a strong interest in farming practices and permaculture and we would like to learn about it to apply it in our future home. We would like to change our lives.

I initially joined so that I could leave Melbourne's Covid-19 lockdown and work towards a second working holiday visa. But since then, I have discovered that woofing as an ethos and a way of life aligns very closely with many of my interests. Australia is at the forefront of multiple environmental issues that will eventually impact the lives of all of us, so I think the education that woofing can provide is invaluable - not to mention fascinating.

I'm wanting to really get solid in my gardening, growing and farming skills. My goal is to live with friends on land and grow food. My next step towards that is to upgrade my skills and the best way to do that is through experience. I have some practice and familiarity with gardening and looking after animals but there's lots i'm eager to learn and help with.

I would like to do a bit of WWOOFing to give myself a base to explore from, meet new people, help out people that are doing great things and learn some stuff at the same time! As I am moving around a bit it is nice to stay in one area for a while with other people and it gives a better feel for an area.

I joined WWOOFing so I could volunteer on a farm in New South Wales in order to meet the 88 day requirement for the working holiday. I'm currently volunteering in a bushfire recovery zone.

Keen to learn garden/farming/sustainability practices. Enjoy outdoor work. Meet like-minded people.  Good way to see different parts of Aus.

To learn more about living sustainably, to explore Australia and to connect with like-minded people. We want to learn more about organic gardening. Ideally we’d love to volunteer for a family or community that also has children so that they can be together. We would like our children to be part of the activities and events . Our family are looking to volunteer with likeminded, hardworking people who share a passion for mother nature, connection, family and traversing the ups and downs of life. We are ready to work ASAP and happy to stay on for a while if it works of all.

I’ve always been interested in volunteering since I was a kid and I enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories and ideas with others. Learning new skills and engaging with local community, as well as furry animal friends, makes life exciting and adventurous. I am eager to contribute, learn, and experience the self sufficient and sustainable way of life on Aussie farms.

I love working outdoors, and find it very meditative (I imagine that might wear off after a while, but for now I love it). WWOOFing for me is a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, and do work I enjoy. I have WWOOFed twice before, and I remember both occasions fondly.

I hope to learn new skills and meet new people. Plus, see different parts of Australia. I joined after I met someone who had also done WWOOF and recommended it as a way to see the world in a supportive way.

I have previously WWOOFed in France and always enjoy visiting my rural friends where days are often spent working alongside them on gardening and building projects. I am currently considering options for moving to the country and find that you can't beat the experience of living in communities to learn more about them. I joined WWOOF Australia to further develop my skills by being directly involved in regenerative agriculture and permaculture projects.

I decided to join WWOOF because I am looking for some new life experience, meet like minded people, develop new friendships, and learn new skills. It seems a great way to see some more of the country while not breaking the bank while doing so

We joined WWOOF as a means to travel Australia with our family, and to really give ourselves and our children a chance to fully experience each place that we visit.
