I want to learn more about sustainable farming practises and land use. I love travelling and seeing new places and meeting new people but I am not good at being "on holiday", if you know what I mean. Staying and working on an unusual, innovative farm with open, welcoming people sounds like a wonderful time to me.

Our flower farm is on a hill with lovely views about 5 minutes outside Yass, NSW; that is three hours south of Sydney, 55 minutes from Goulburn and 45 minutes away from Canberra, the attractive national capital. We are a developing ‘whole’ flower farm - growing, cooking, bunching, drying and crafting with flowers, fruit and plants of all kinds, and taking bouquets and preserves to local markets and cafes. We follow organic and sustainable practices and are continually improving our soil and planting. We have developed a very attractive property, with beautiful house, gazebos, gardens and landscaped areas, intending to soon welcome the public for tours and workshops. We look forward to our WWOOFers being able to enjoy learning about our farm life and practices, and helping out while still having lots of free time. Beyond our place you can see livestock on neighbouring properties, kangaroos, the hills of the picturesque Yass River Valley and, in the distance, the Brindabella mountains that lead to the Snowy Mountains, while on our property you can meet our two gentle Maremma sheepdogs, two cats, Babydoll sheep, chickens, ducks and geese, watch all the wild birdlife and use our heated swimming pool. We work hard and there's a lot to do every day- but we tailor the place and hours of work to suit the weather and season. If it is going to be hot we might start very early and rest in middle of the day. If it rains, there are indoor tasks to complete. We can tailor the work to your special interests and competencies, give you lots of free time to relax and help you with sightseeing. We invite you to enjoy home-cooked meals with us, have a laugh, and socialise with our family and friends. We hope to meet enthusiastic, responsible and mature WWOOFers, who enjoy country surroundings, who are keen to learn and help out, and are appreciative and respectful, just like we are. Send us a message with any questions, and an idea of when you’d like to stay. We normally like volunteers to stay for at least 2 weeks so they can enjoy a wide variety of activities  and after initial messages like to finalise plan by phone. We look forward to hearing from you!

I have a small farm in WA's SouthWest which has established fruit trees, cows, chickens and 2 homes plus a granny flat - so accomodation is flexible. We are on rain water, so use it wisely and use river water for the toilets - so they dont sparkle like most lavatories. There is plenty of places for growing more veg but I have gotten behind in the maintenance of the raised beds. So I would like help here and infinishing some small amount of landscaping. It is beautiful and quiet with a large variety of birds on the property. There is also a strong focus on health and fitness to balance the workload.

I joined WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) to immerse myself in new cultures and gain hands-on experience in sustainable farming. As an adventurous traveler, I wanted to explore different parts of the world while connecting with local communities. WWOOFing allows me to learn valuable skills in gardening and organic farming, all while enjoying the beauty of nature. I appreciate the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and make lasting friendships along the way. Additionally, the affordable travel aspect of WWOOFing enables me to explore new destinations while keeping costs low.

We live on 10 acres of waterfront on Hastings bay close to Hastings caves and thermal pool, surf beaches and the southwest wilderness. We own an old Tasmanian fishing boat which we maintain and use often for fishing and sailing. Anders is originally from Denmark and enjoys fishing, sailing, bee keeping, wood craft and building. Jane is a ceramsist and works from her home studio producing work for exhibitions, galleries and markets. She also loves gardening, bush walking cycling and sailing. We have 2 very friendly dogs living here I too ! We have a kitchen garden and small orchard and maintain about 4 acres of cleared land around the home. We enjoy visits from enthusiastic travelers willing to share our place with us. Common work here includes help with firewood, gardening, working with the bees in summer . Right now we need help in the garden, and fire wood stacking and help on our new build. Someone who likes to have a go at a bit of landscaping would be great ! We have a separate cabin/shed that accomodates a couple or a single person We enjoy a balanced healthy diet with lots of seafood! There are bikes to ride and access to a boat for fishing and exploring. We have shared bathroom facilities in our house plus a composting toilets as we are on tank water. Winter is here in Tasmania now but it is nice to go around without too many tourists!if you are keen to stay for more than a week as there are more possibilities for experiencing our place! Maybe even the Aurora 😊

I joined to meet people who are as passionate about bush regeneration as I am! Over 7 years, I manually removed the introduced and invasive weed - buffel grass (Cenchrus ciliaris) - from my 2.5 acre Land for Wildlife (LFW) bush block in the central desert. It was rewarding seeing so many native plants sprout in the areas that buffel once grew! I enjoyed it so much that I started my own "buffel busting" business and dug out buffel grass from other LFW blocks, as well as helped environmental/land management groups remove it from riverbeds, crown lands, botanic gardens, ephemeral wetlands/claypans and other areas in the central desert. I also have extensive experience with removing these weeds from land in south-east Queensland and northern NSW: - Cobbler's pegs (Bidens pilosa) - Fireweed (Senecio madagascariensis) - Morning glory - purple (Ipomoea indica) - including thick infestations in creeks and vines wrapped around shrubs & trees Now that I’ve retired, I have more time & energy, as well as the skills & experience to help others regenerate and rehabilitate their land. For the last six months of 2024, I was a live-in volunteer at a retreat/meditation centre on a 2.5 acre LFW property in the central desert.

I've been living in central Melbourne from the beginning of my stay in Australia. Now I feel like that I know about very little part of this country. I want to spend my time in different situations.

We are nestled on 100 acres of stunning bushland on Wonnarua Country, in the midst of the Watagan forest of the Lower Hunter Valley, 1.5 hours from Sydney and Newcastle. There is a wide variety of wildlife including lyrebirds, wallabies, echidnas and wombats, blue and fairy wrens, kookaburras, satin bower birds, black and sulphur crested cockatoos. We are growing tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchinis, mustard greens, rocket, kale, broccoli, carrots, beans (all types), herbs (all types), citrus, and many other fruits and vegetables. We are in the process of developing a master plan for our property, having moved here in August 2018. We are increasing the number of fruit and nut trees, are continually expanding the vegetable gardens, and enjoy fresh eggs with our 6 chickens and 2 roosters. The property is situated on the crest of a hill, with a beautiful area for camping and meandering in the valley by a natural brook, and another area at the top for workshops and retreats. Keith has a background in Ag Science and biotech start-ups (after a first career as a university professor); Brynnie has been growing not-for-profit organisations in the sustainability, health, maintaining Indigenous culture and social justice space (after a first career in international corporate law) and has studied Zen Shiatsu. Keith has lived in Germany and Brynnie is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese (having lived in Brazil) and gets by in French. Our children are in their mid-20s, having studied art history, philosophy and entrepreneurship, and environmental science, ecology and Spanish. We also have older children (via Keith) and seven grandchildren. We moved to this property in 2018 after having lived in Sydney for more than 25 years. 'Kawalang' means abundance in Wonnarua language. There is more about the property on our website.

Our family property is in a very, very beautiful part of Australia, right at the Southern base of Mount Warning. It is surrounded by 3 World Heritage National Parks and is a highly pristine, tranquil and secluded wilderness environment. Our property is 100 acres of mostly forested land.  It has a creek, walking tracks, wildlife and gorgeous views out over the National Park mountains.  All that can be seen is mountains and trees, it is amazing.  We have a small cleared area on the side of the mountain where we have our house, a cabin, a camping area, a dam, greenhouses, and a syntropic system. We also have spaces set aside for future market gardening and commercial hemp cultivation. We love living and working here! We are able to provide the 88 day visa extension allowance, for disaster recovery assistance.
