The Cook, her pigs, the Climate Change Scientist & his cows, check us out on Google Earth. We offer great food (sorry no special diets) with interesting conversation in a beautiful valley within bike riding distance of Cygnet and the beach. We offer advice on purchasing your own property, cookery, charcuterie-in autumn, market gardening, cookery, preserving, cider making and animal husbandry. We farm organically and try to live as sustainably as possible, we employ principles of permaculture. Volunteering includes feeding poultry & animals, planting, weeding, mowing, compost making, brewing, fencing, occasional animal slaughter (only if you are interested) and processing & General Farm Maintenance. Accommodation for 2 singles within our home, or a couple in our caravan attached to the house, see the picture. Shared meals, mixed diets. Can P/U from Cygnet any day or Hobart by arrangement if flight arrives before 3pm between Tues-Thurs. Please don't come to us directly from overseas or if you are ill, as I am in the high risk group for respiratory problems. WWOOFers must be prepared to work independently at times. No smokers. Minimum stay 2 weeks. We prefer longer stays by WWOOFers with a genuine interest in agriculture. Initial contact by email, please. WiFi unlimited. If no answer leave a message slowly, stating your name and number and we will get back to you. We want to leave our land in a lot better state than we found it. We are supporters of the Tasmanian Land Conservancy and The Bob Brown Foundation which both preserve old growth forests and special areas of value to flora, fauna and eco-systems. In the long term we are looking for someone to park a tiny house on the property and take over all the gardens, land and animals to allow us more freedom to travel and spend time with our families but still have somewhere to call home.

Strathbogie Estate is small vineyard and we are setting up a garden based on Permaculture principles. Strathbogie Estate titleholders Bruno and Karin’s aim, is to create a haven to not only enjoy for themselves but to share with the surrounding and greater community. Using their very own single vineyard, brother (Bruno) and sister (Karin) manage the end to end development and trade of their finest harvest. As Bruno focuses on the marketing and trade of the wine, Karin lives and works on the property producing a distinctive, organic foundation. Keeping the same winemakers since the establishment of the vineyard, Bruno and Karin understand the importance of experience and expertise in delivering an outstanding product. Through environmentally sound and sustainable practices the vineyard remains in balance with nature. Strathbogie Estate is committed to growing healthy and beautiful tasting grapes that produce exceptional wine. We optimise the potential of terroir expression in the wine by ensuring every vine is hand pruned and grapes hand-picked. Due to its tendency to rupture the grape berry, machine harvesting is regarded as unkind on vines. Once a breach of the grape has occurred the skin phenolics leach into the juice. As a result, a loss of delicacy in the flavour occurs. This particularly recognized in the more delicate wines.

So far, I have been an au pair for two different families at the East coast of Australia for a couple of months. Now I would like to gain the experience of living on a real Australian farm and learn something from my hosts! I'm used to common gardening like mowing, trimming, weeding, chaffing and chopping wood. I know the basics on how to behave around animals and I'm comfortable with bigger animals as well.

Our property is situated in Geeveston in the Huon Valley. Our 70acre property/farm sanctuary is close to great bush walks and within walking distance to town and buses to Hobart. We rescue and look after a menagerie of animals. At this point we have: chickens, roosters, ducks, pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep, ponies, geese and cows. We are in the process of establishing our property on permaculture principles, and regenerating the land so we can look after more animals in need. Accommodation is seperate from our home and includes: 3 bedrooms, all sharing a kitchen, loungeroom, 2 toilets and 2 showers (one with a bath). We have dinner together most week nights and you cook your own on the weekends.

I would really love the opportunity to venture beyond my "regular" corporate life and explore what the world has to offer! I love learning about new cultures, experiences and languages and am very happy to share all of my experiences so far as well.

I live on the Sunshine Coast working a casual job on the ocean that is highly weather dependent. I have lots of free time given the poor weather and given I’ve seen the impact of the recent cyclone and flooding rains in March-May, I’d love to help local farms get back on their feet. I love to be outdoors, adore animals and working with plants.

Three Gullies is a productive regenerative farm, producing beef and lamb, situated on Fairy Meadow Creek, on the foothills of Mount Fairy. We apply permaculture design principles in paddock and landscape design, with the goal of improving ecological services across the land scape. Three Gullies complements the application of these principles by applying holistic grazing as described by Allan Savory. There are six quality of life statements that are part of the Three Gullies Holistic Context and associated decision-making tools. All decisions to undertake activities or ventures at Three Gullies must align within this context. This is the tool we use to ensure value alignment and matching work ethic.

A former horse rider and animal lover, I'm looking for a WWOOFing experience in Australia to discover the local culture, meet Australians and travelers from around the world, and improve my English. After an unforgettable first WWOOFing experience on a horse ranch in California in 2017, I'd love to relive this incredible human adventure. I'm a motivated person, dedicated to my work, and always ready to learn and give my best

I am a 66-year-old living on a scenic farmlet of 22 acres located 12 kilometres west of Lakes Entrance. With a large garden that encompasses vegetables, herbs, berries, an olive grove, and an orchard; it is a haven for a huge variety of native birds. I also have about a dozen hens, a rather noisy rooster, an aging horse, a dog and, at times, some neighbour’s sheep. Work varies from helping in the gardens/orchard, planting/harvesting the vegetables, wood chopping, weed control using non chemical methods and odd jobs. I do not actually practise permaculture but make my own compost and soil.  At one end of the property is a bush gully that abounds with local wildflowers and native animals; this is a corridor between the State Forest and the wetlands on the edge of the Gippsland Lakes. Being located near the Lakes also means it is close to the Ninety Mile Beach.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
