I joined WWOOF because I want to volunteer my time on organic farms so I can be more 'hands on' again. My current job is mostly at a desk and I miss feeling connected to the land and getting my hands dirty.

One of the most valuable things when you’re traveling is local knowledge. I joined WWOOF as a way to find my way into local communities throughout my travels, as well as gain new skills and understanding on sustainability, and where food comes from. I am excited to learn the ways of sustainable farming and homesteading, all while making valuable  connections along the way.

I am really looking to find out more about what it takes to run and operate a farm and gain the necessary skills to be self sufficient. I will love to help out with the day-to-day activities of farm life, and I am particularly interested to meet hosts that are looking for someone to help manage, operate, or co-own a farm or homestead. I intend on starting my own permaculture farm within the next 12-24 months. Before owning my own property, I would like to get some real hands on experience for myself and my son helping maintain a homestead larger than our own suburban garden. I especially want to give my 2 Blue Heeler pups some early exposure to life on a farm. I would love to get them some experience with cattle, goats, pigs, or any large livestock that we can't have in suburbia. I have many friends who have done similar volunteering work and their enthusiasm has been really infectious. I love meeting people who are passionate about their homes and gardens and the positive impact they have on the world. Before I start my own homestead, it seems only right to learn from and help those who are already doing it.

To hopefully experience some beautiful places, help out if I can in any way to keep them beautiful, share some laughs and making of things, learn stuff, and...just be.

I WWOOFed on a vineyard in southern Victoria when I first moved to Australia and it was one of the best experiences I have had during my time here. I would love to come back down to earth - if you will - after lots of time living far from nature.

First and foremost because I want to volunteer at Zaytuna farm in The Channon, but also as a way for me to travel around once I’ve finished my time in the north Burnett, forming as many long lasting and symbiotic relationships as I can along the way!

opportunity to support an industry I believe in ... As a result of working in the organic industry and my environment studies I have become increasingly aware of issues relating to lifestyle.. in particular relating to health and fitness as well as various aspects relating to the food chain or rather costs imputs and energy required to produce food in a sustainable manner which is consistent with health of humans and our environment .. This has given me a greater appreciation of the costs of production .. not to mention the benefits of consuming food that has been produced .. In this regard, now that i have a window of opportunity to be able to spend time at the primary producer level as well as giving a little back to the organic industry ..

I learn environmental problems  such as micro plastics, air pollution, food waste and so on in my university. So I would like to learn the way to make our life eco-friendly and more sustainable!!These days, I’m interested in Animal Welfare. I think Japan lags behind other countries in measures of animal welfare. So I also want to know the friendly way for live stock.

Japanese food has so many additives that it is actually the world's largest country.  After finishing the hard work, I don't think I'm fine eating some convenience store food. I am more and more interested in organic farming and we need to know the natural cycle and real food. I wanted to look at lifestyles that snuggle up to nature in each country and expand my knowledge and apply it.
