My intention for WWOOFing is to connect with new people, ways of living and share knowledge. I am on a solo trip up the east coast during a transitional time in my life and am seeking expansion and inspiration.

I joined WWOOF cause I I want to really get to know a country, meet people, understand their culture and see as much nature as possible. My goal for 2025 is to shear a sheep. Let's see how that works out! 🙂 If you can help me achieve this goal (for example, because you own sheep), I would be very grateful.

We heard about WWOOF through a recommendation from a friend who said her experience was amazing. Being from the queer community too, we felt that WWOOF was a safe place to look for volunteering opportunities. Personally, one of the most important things to achieve by WWOOFing is meeting new people and helping the local area through the work we do.

We want to discover as much as we can about different cultures and diets as we can, and meeting locals seems the best way to do that. We also want to learn some new skills, and WWOOFing offers all of this in a way that allows us to hopefully do some good as well.

I heard about WWOOFing through a gardener I work with and she couldn’t recommend it highly enough, having met lifelong friends and wonderful hosts - me and my best friend have a month free in Australia during our travelling experience and it just feels like the absolute right experience for us. We would love to see authentic parts of Australia and get the opportunity to experience them with lovely locals. I am a gardener by trade so am familiar with a lot of the work required - I adore carrying out fulfilling work outdoors and hope we can offer hard work and friendship 🙂

I hope to meet many beautiful people and learn their stories. I hope to see as much of Australia as possible but also learn new things. I also hope to further improve my English, to get out of my comfort zone and prove to myself that I can handle myself.

We fell in love with Australia, so we want to finish the necessary work to apply for our 2nd year. We also love nature and this seems the perfect opportunity to work and learn the ways of the land, the processes and techniques while enjoying the outside and learning a new craft that we have been eager to learn for a while.

I joined WWOOF to find meaningful work opportunities that provide both hands-on experience and accommodation. I have a deep love for animals and feel most at home working on a farm, where I can contribute to daily operations while learning from new experiences. Whether it’s caring for livestock, maintaining the land, or assisting with general farm tasks, I enjoy the physical work and the connection to nature that comes with it. My passion for animals and strong work ethic make me eager to take on any role that allows me to be part of a farm environment.
