    Short Property Description

We are called Ozparagus and produce green asparagus and now the first in Carnarvon white asparagus. We also grow passionfruit and have just planted tree Topia.

Around Tree Topia we are currently fencing the area off to make a beautiful place to come sit maybe see some sculptures and chickens with ducks swimming in the pond going in.  Hoping for some sheep and goats to help chickens ducks keep the weeds down.

Chickens run around free and put away at night for safety atm in the passionfruit old yards.

You will experience many different cultures on the farm with backpackers from around the world. A family business with the grandparents, ourselves and the children living here.

Of course, we have our resident Dog buster who is extremely friendly and will try to convince you he is hungry always. See his Instagram story on our page. Puss Puss is also here now she does pest control and recently gave birth to some kittens with a couple more staying on you will meet them when you come.  Currently Backpackers and woofers taking care of them and have named them Gin and Tonic  lol.

We are slowly getting the farm to be very bio diverse with growing mushrooms and many more varieties of vegetables on the list in the next few months.  with some trials going on now successfully growing and canning beetroot and making a relish. Diversity is key to staying afloat and to have our own produce feeding us all here with the extra for the tourists when they come on the Fruit loop next year

And of course, now we have thousands of new babies to care for with the bees arriving for the Everybee Everybody.  First harvest soon yay.  Also, we’d like to make the most of all the products so diving into making salves marinades and more

As well as starting our own solider fly set up to produce chicken feed and nourishment for our soil. We love the idea of wwoofers to meet other cultures and teach you what we know.

We are very excited with the diversity of wwoofers coming to join our community and now families to.  We can accommodate up to 17 people on the plantation so the calendar would not reflect true availability just send us a message and CJ can tell you how many beds are available.   Look forward to meeting you all.

If you want any more information, then feel free to contact us here.  Alot more information and stories on Instagram and the Webpage.  With a Blog in the pipeline (when time off farm can happen) now as many woofer stories and their own wee adventures here need to be told nicknaming the plantation the love plantation like love boat for land.  Quite a few connections made and many a great night had with everyone on farm.  It’s like travelling the world again for us without having to leave the verandah.

A place we design and discuss many an idea for the future and we really want woofers to leave their mark. Like Taura planted the garlic I’m about to use and she will get to enjoy it as well.

We very much look forward to meeting you all

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We really wanted to create a community of likeminded people here on the farm with everyone being able to contribute to the farm life and live of the farm as much as possible.

We are very relaxed here with a whole lot of projects underway.   Bees now a grand addition to the plantation. We are also creating art and food for sale via up sale great produce.

Here in Carnarvon, you are 10 hours from the most isolated city in Australia Perth where the desert meets the sea. Lots to see and do when you are not working. We have tourists coming through from April till October and they go on the fruit trail which we are keen to become a part of selling our very own produce and finished products. Somewhere you can come get fresh fruit and vegetables eggs and walk around looking at the sculptures and gardens we are creating.  With the latest edition of sculpture on display at the Carnarvon Library at the moment.

We have a passion to create all we may need in herbs and vegetables.  And exotic fruit in the newly growing tree Topia.  Fresh eggs from free range chickens (we only bring them in at night to help protect against the wild of the night) They that friendly the run up the stairs to Omar and Bubbas for breakfast.

We really want people and couples’ families all welcome.  We have had some amazing times with the last few woofing journeys.  Still to update pages sorry.  But like the workers they leave and come back.  We have learnt heaps from different people.   From Asia to Europe and Middle East, Africa and even New Zealand.  Many laughs and great food shared.  Tasting each other’s favorite’s food, enlightening communication and discovery.  Look for the updated photos on Instagram and Facebook or Webpage Ozparagus over the next few months.  We intend to show the progress of what was started and with their permissions who started what and what it looks like now or even in 5 years.

Still to paint the world map for all to sign while here.  Cant wait to see the next woofers as white asparagus is about to start harvesting and need all the hands we can get.  Look forward to meeting you in Western Australia Carnarvon Ozparagus Markham
