Short Property Description
We are situated in the Keysbrook hills (Binjareb Noongar country), about 1 hour south of Perth, Western Australia. We have a small holding of 7 acres with a winter creek, open pasture, orchard, and a bush area that connects to the adjacent forest where the Munda Biddi cycle trail runs past the property. For swimming, the nearby North Dandalup Dam is perfect for a refreshing dip at the end of a hot day in summer & for picnics throughout the year.
We are revitalising the permaculture design that was developed between 1998 – 2016 with the help of many Wwoofer’s when my parents and at different times my siblings were living here over those 18 years. We are now regenerating the design to be more suitable for changing climate conditions and our aspirations to connect urban dwellers to nature and growing food.
In our gardening and design work, we engage with Wwoofers as co-learners. This means we recognise we are always on a learning journey of observation and experimentation, integrating our experiences while also hearing about people’s inspiration, insights, and reactions to our approach as feedback for reflection. Our primary focus is that we work toward a design that support anyone that spends time here to experience this place as an opportunity to connect to self, others, nature and place – our contribution to people and planet.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are exploring different ways of producing food and being custodians and don’t adhere to any one school of thought. The skills ticked in the list below are indicative of what you could learn depending on the seasonal activities and our stage of development/priorities.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We believe that developing living soil, growing food and connecting to nature gives people the opportunity to reconnect to a way of life that our fast paced world needs to re-member the true essence of what it is to BE human and do things in a way that considers our role as “Carers of Everything” (Carers of Everything is a custodianship story shared by Uncle Noel Nannup a well respected indigenous Elder we have had the privilege of being on Country with). We love sharing our love of place and connecting with people from different cultures, hearing their stories and appreciating the contribution they make during their stay with us.
