When my mother visited Japan as I was studying PhD there, she was impressed by the advanced agriculture with flourished rice harvests, premium fruits like shine muscat, and high-quality meats and seafoods. Given the fact that the agriculture in Vietnam has been ovelooked and neglected for decades because of the industrialization trend in manufacturing across the country, we feel concerned that it is not straightforward to get the sector back on track. Furthermore, when returning to Vietnam after my PhD, it is a big surprise to me that many agri-food imported from Australia is available in the market such as grapes, oranges, milk, etc., which would have been unrealistic before the pandemic. Additionally, as working in a rural hospital, I usually encounter many patients who work as farmers in a traditional way. As a result, their chief complaints are usually neck pain, back pain, and hand/knee pain as symptoms of spondylosis and osteoarthritis. While traveling with my mother will be a joyful and adventurous trip for us, I also want to explore more not only the advancement in healthcare but also the beauty of nature and the development of the agriculture in Australia. I hope those valuable experiences will bring me an innovative insight into the way of taking care of people and environment around us.

We’re a certified-organic farm in the process of full accreditation, located in Far North Queensland. Our farm started with a thriving microgreens business and is now expanding into a wide variety of seasonal inground crops. This is a vegetarian, non-smoking, and alcohol-free farm, focused on healthy living, community, and soil regeneration. We grow everything by hand—no tractors—using a mix of traditional techniques and the latest small-scale farming tools. We’re passionate about producing nutrient-dense, organic food for our local community and are always excited to share our knowledge and experience with others. If you're interested in real, hands-on growing and want to learn how to work with the soil rather than against it, we’d love to host you.

I left Sydney to get away from the city; I arrived into Byron and started applying for work; Had an interview for a housekeeping job at a hostel; Realised I really didn't want to do that and just wished to be out in the Bush, living the simple life, enjoying what Australia truly has to offer. WWOOF! Lightbulb moment. It is amazing to see so many hosts and I'd love to help out over winter.

We joined WWOOF to further our experience in Organic farming while meeting like minded people and making meaningful connections. We are keen to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences with people and volunteer our time in exchange. As we are full time traveling Australia, WWOOF is a great avenue to veer off the beaten track and experience farms all over Australia while keeping travel costs down.

I joined this site because I realized that this was the easiest way to get in touch with farms. I hope that thanks to WWOOF I'll be able to find a farm where I can learn how it works and become an integral part of it. I grew up in a house with a big garden. My mother, a gardener, always made sure we had beautiful vegetables, and I was always happy to help her. Today, I'm keen to learn what it's like to work on a farm, and to have the opportunity to discover practices that I'm not familiar with in agro-ecology. I can't wait to find a place to help on the farm.

I joined WWOOF because I need to complete my last three months of regional work to qualify for the third year of working holiday visa (subclass 417). I've already done half of my days at a nursery farm, so I know what to expect and am ready to dive back into the experience.

I have a small farm in WA's SouthWest which has established fruit trees, cows, chickens and 2 homes plus a granny flat - so accomodation is flexible. We are on rain water, so use it wisely and use river water for the toilets - so they dont sparkle like most lavatories. There is plenty of places for growing more veg but I have gotten behind in the maintenance of the raised beds. So I would like help here and infinishing some small amount of landscaping. It is beautiful and quiet with a large variety of birds on the property. There is also a strong focus on health and fitness to balance the workload.

As s student I joined so I could travel, practise languages and learn about organic farming. It's still my intention 20 years later now 🙂 During German winter I work mostly in late/night shifts in a night shelter for homeless people in Berlin. It's a demanding job and I never get to see the daylight. As soon as it's spring and my contract ends I try to spend as much as time outside.

I have joined to experience more of Australia and to get off the tourist tracks. I have travelled down the East Coast where I loved seeing the wildlife, beaches and towns however, I really would also love to experience more rural Australian life. Having grown up growing fruit and vegetables in the kitchen garden; making soups and stews to use all the vegetables (and stay warm in the Scottish winters) I am passionate about sustainability, the importance of buying local to support small farming and want to learn more about sustainable farming practices.

One of my uncle's had their farm on WWOOF when I was younger and I was there when he had different people from across the world helping him. Now that I'm older, from my perspective, I believe in creating constructive beneficial change. Organic farming is one way of contributing to the community in a helpful and healthy way that I can take part in thanks to WWOOF.

I have been dreaming about doing a Wwoofing since a really long time but never really found the time for it. Now that my job's contract is ending by the end of August of 2025, I have one month free and I am then looking to finally do this Wwoofing!

We want to have totally new experiences, meet new people and learn new skills along the way. It seems a really unique way of travelling and actually experiencing being in a new place, which is exactly what we're after. We also feel we'd get along with and add value to any host we stayed with. WWOOF is such a fantastic idea and it's a privilege to have these experiences open to us!

I've been thinking about how I want to settle down, and doing some small scale homesteading, so that I can supply myself and the family would be ideal. Growing up in the countryside, I know my way around the garden, orchards, harvesting and such, but I want to expand my knowledge. So I thought the best way to do that is to learn from the source, and ideally organic and permaculture, as I see that aligning with my own future. Another reason is it helps with budgeting my long trip. It's easy to spend a lot of money inbetween jobs, so I want to minimize where I can. I'm also keen to learn about the australian way of life, animal husbandry and such. So becoming a volunteer wwoof'er helps me in a lot of ways, as I can help you where needed.

We love travelling and we have been wanting to take some time off next year to be together as a family, but not while being too busy with being tourists. Therefore we were hoping to combine two things we love, travelling and experiencing the world with outside life. We have been on farm-stays as vacationers but would love to experience the day to day life on a farm. And we would love to give our kids that opportunity as well, which is not easy in the citylife we live today. We hope to learn more about the farm life. Give the kids an opportunity to get up close with animals and what it takes to take good care of them. The adult would love to learn more about growing crops and using our hands to build anything from fences to small houses. So we are open to learning and chipping in where ever we can. We do however have the need to be able to take care of our kids as well. So if the labour is only for adults or only for two adults at the same time then we would not be able to visit your farm. We would love a place where I kids also could get to know other kids and learn English. Both parents speak fluent English.
