I believe that living and working with local hosts is the most valuable experience you can have as a traveler. To be candid, I don’t have much background in the realm of farming, but I am highly motivated to learn new skills and participate in whichever projects you need help with! I am not afraid to get my hands dirty or engage in physical labor. Given the detrimental public health implications of fast food and mass commercial farming, I would love to learn about sustainable small-scale farming techniques and how they can benefit the greater good of all living beings.

We have a small farm with fruit trees, veggies, chickens and a couple of shared cows. There's a creek and a dam down the road with some Kayaks and a cafe. We are half an hour from Maleny/Kenilworth and 15 mins to Maleny. Please contact Rhea by message/wattsapp on 0467 374 554 (we don't check messages on this webpage often).

I joined WWOOF because I want to experience real farm life in Australia, learn new skills, and connect with locals. I’m looking to help out, grow through hands-on work, and better understand sustainable and rural lifestyles. I also hope to contribute positively and live meaningful moments during my journey.

I arrive in Australia beginning of July and it is a great way to get started! I also like to be in nature and I miss helping my sister in her farm so it will make it like I am home far away from home !

I have been volunteering in Bushcare for the last couple of months which was a complete change in what I was doing before and actually enjoyed my time doing this work. What was kind of missing was the connection to animals most days. Since I grew up in a very regional area in Germany close to a Farm where I occasionally helped milking the cows, mowing with the tractor, fencing, and feeding the cows, I thought this could be a good way to get a closer connection with animals while doing some other work too.

I’m curious about farm life and eager to learn about a side of living with which I’m unfamiliar. I’m also keen to see different parts of the country.

Taking care of living beings, especially animals, is close to my heart. Leaving my epileptic cat in France was heartbreaking for me. Having grown up in the southwest of France, surrounded by animals in the countryside, I'm in awe of the beauty of nature in all its forms. In our big house in the countryside there is always gardening work to do. I often helped my father prune trees, cut wood for the winter and store it. Cut the grass and take care of planting and harvesting vegetables. That's why I'm searching for a place where I can thrive, assisting with daily tasks and learning more about fruit and vegetable cultivation. I have experience in fruit picking; I picked blackcurrants and redcurrants for 3 months.

I would like to offer my services to gain friends in the community and learn more about how we can sustainably produce food for the growing population using less resources than modern-day agriculture does. I would really like to further my experiences coming from; casual work as a gardener/bushland regenerator, a couple of organic farms in Stratheuen that try not to use chemicals but could still adopt new strategies and my studies in environmental science where Ive been particulary interested in microbiology, fermentation as a means of preservation, plant-microbe interactions and plant-human-microbe interactions with a real curiosity about how we can be healthy humans and at the same time have the lightest footprint on the planet.

We both are very interested in the idea of producing our own food and have a little dream of our own acreage and some animals in the future. Also we love the chance to settle down for a bit and do some work while travelling Australia and meet some friendly people.

I underwent some health issues last year which forced me to quit my job and embark on a self-led recovery journey. During this, I focused almost exclusively on learning the basics of self-sufficiency - I honed and sharpened my cooking skills, organization/cleaning skills, meditation/yoga/exercise practices, and many other things that completely altered the way I conceived of my personal priorities and values. I learned that my happiness is deeply rooted in my ability to provide and care for myself. As a result of my journey, I want to learn how to be as self-sufficient as possible, and to continue building my knowledgebase as it pertains to health and wellness.

I'm very motivated by the idea of taking part in projects linked to nature, manual work or learning new skills. I love animals and was born and raised with dogs. I also want to meet and understand a new culture. For me, that means exchanging with local people. For me, woofing is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and discover new things, both human and environmental.

I joined WWOOF to discover what it is to work in a farm and learn about people's living experience in Australia which is something complicated to do in hostels. I currently do not have a lot of experience in farms but that's why I would like to learn and help, in any type of farm, because it would also help me knowing more things.

I’ve found myself with a nice chunk of time between graduating university and starting on a graduate scheme with the civil service this Autumn, so I would love to get out and experience a bit of life before I start my career in earnest. I'd love to meet people I would otherwise never have the chance to and make some really rich memories and learn all sorts of skills to take home with me!

WWOOF seems like a good starting point to search for and connect with like minded people. I went through a couple ads and they all look like fantastic places to get things going.
