Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and I would really like to experience some farm stays during my gap year in Australia. I volunteered at a turtle sanctuary in Bali and totally loved it. I hope to form new connections and get a better understanding of farm work.

I worked rather than travelled in my gap year and then my university experience was impacted by Covid 19. I want to expand my horizons, get more life experience and meet people in Australia, which I have long been considering as a country that I would be interested to live in. I enjoy spending time outdoors, including regularly walking the family dog.

I joined WWOOF to study remotely, meet like-minded people in the meantime and learn about farming/permaculture, as it has been one of my life-long dreams. I'd like to be self-sufficient and own my own farm somewhere in the world, and I feel that the time in my life right now is a good opportunity to do so 🙂

I find the idea of getting to know locals and experiencing new tasks in the farming and harvesting sector appealing. I want to connect with people in their environment and contribute to their work. I love nature and believe this is a beautiful setting for work.

I want to experience more places around the world and learn more about sustainable farming globally. I tried wwoofing for the first time in Taiwan and had a wonderful experience. I am moving to Tasmania and looking for full time work in the hospitality industry but I want to try WWOOFing for a few weeks/months when I first arrive.

I joined WWOOF so that I could connect with other people from different cultures and learn from them in different areas of life. Additionally, I joined so I could share what I have learn from my time on this planet.

I want to experience organic agriculture in other parts of the world and explore aspects of farming that I am unfamiliar with, as well as meet new and passionate people!

I want to experience a different life, outdoors and back to nature... my previous experience of nursing has been extremely rewarding and challenging and continues to be a great asset to my life. But now I want new challenges - to learn about permaculture, organic farming techniques and animal care. I like the bit where it says "no experience necessary just enthusiasm" I hope to travel through Australia but that might be a bit difficult right now, but I intend to start my experience in Victoria. It seems a great way to experience life with locals and really get to know rural areas of Australia. I've been in Australia this time since March 2020 spending over a year in lockdown Melbourne so its great to have freedom again. I have done some my own garden and gardening with friends and helping out. I have done a beginners DIY course and try and fix things myself...sometimes it works... WWOOF seems a well organised and safe system so here goes...51

I think it's a very good idea because you can gain new experience and I've always wanted to work on a farm. In addition, there are no extra costs and you can secure your money.

It has been my passion to work on a WWOOF and further understand organic farming since I was trained in Farm Start and to further my own growing experiences.
