I joined WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) driven by my love for nature, a passion for sustainable living, and a desire to connect with the earth in a meaningful way. My interest in gardening and caring for animals naturally aligns with the ethos of WWOOF, where I can actively participate in organic farming and learn about eco-friendly practices. This opportunity not only allows me to develop my gardening skills but also enables me to be a part of a global community that values environmental stewardship. Engaging in WWOOFing is a fulfilling way for me to combine my interests in travel, meeting new people, and making a positive impact on the environment.

I find that woof is great for making a trip a richer experience, it's easy, accessible, varied, and the principle of exchange is interesting for meeting new people while remaining active. I'm excited to do this adventure

I joined WWOOF  because  I want to experience the country trough another lens. I'd like to volunteer a few weeks on different farms during my trip to get in touch with locals, helping out, spend time in nature and learn more about organic farming. Hoping to explore new places and to meet inspiring people. By working as a Wwoofer I want to step outside my comfort zone, learning new skills and living in new ways.

I think it is a great idea that there is a programme that gives people in many countries around the world the opportunity to exchange ideas and make the world a better place together. You can learn so much from each other across cultural and national borders. That's why I want to become a part of wwoofing and certainly my parents will also become a woofing host when they are done with the renovation.

I joined the program to be able to connect with farms in Australia to learn about organic farming and get involved in the field myself. I hope to have many enriching experiences, raise awareness about the production of food and raw materials, and exchange ideas with other people.

After working in an office for almost three years, I'm longing to get my hands dirty and be surrounded by nature for a change. I have always been a person who has had an interest in gardening and loved animals. I like to try new activities and I'm passionate about learning new thing. Two years ago, I started growing a few of my own vegetables in my garden. The pride I felt in turning my home grown fruits and vegetables into a meal was just great and I hope to expand my knowledge in that area. In general, I would love to live more in harmony with nature. I'm looking forward to learn from experienced (hobby-) farmers about how to use the earth's resources sustainably and create something with your own hands. I believe WWOOFing is the ideal way for families or local (hobby-) farmers and travelers to support and learn from each other. I'm looking forward to hopefully meeting you soon!:)

I love exploring and getting to know new countries, customs and their people and I think this is a good way to get in touch with locals, learn about their habits and support them. At the moment I'm volunteering at a farm and wildlife shelter in Victoria and do not mind dirty hands or clothes 😉 Next stop will be South Australia - would love to help someone in area Adelaide or Kangaroo Island. Just drop a message if you are looking for help. Cheers

Post Black Summer Fires where we lost everything but the land itself, I am building a mud brick cottage, simple timber sheds, reestablishing a small self sufficient permaculture garden, and caring for the fruit trees that survived. I have restarted an organic self sufficient style garden and will, over time, use permaculture principles to have interlocking gardens, small animals, and orchard systems. We have a small module house, a beautiful retro caravan, and are working on transforming a storage container into a tiny house. We live by a gorgeous pristine river (The Brodribb), where we swim most days, and are surrounded by old growth forest, in a valley with a small community of like minded people. We have a gentle old dog and are happy to host people with friendly dogs. I like to cook so will provide excellent meals and can accomodate dietary needs.

I want to learn more about working on a farm and animals. I visited some permaculture farms in Costa Rica and I really loved it! I loved how the workers enjoyed working and I loved all the tasks that we needed to do! I am joining Wwoof because there are plenty of options to work on a farm.

I joined woof to meet people with different ways of thinking and doing things because learning from others is a lot quicker and easier than trying to think up ways of gardening that just don’t come naturally but also saving the time of learning what didn’t work for others instead of spending 20 years on an idea that simply doesn’t work I can learn several options for what does work and pick the best option and fit it too my lifestyle I will work hard if I have too but as Ruth stout says why do something if you don’t want to or have too
