joined WWOOF through AIFS and l am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic& Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. I also had the idea that if I came to Australia, there was nowhere I would rather work than on a farm, because I always wanted to be as close to nature and the "real"/authentic Australian way of life as possible. Also it is comon sens that one of the biggest joys about traveling is to get in touch with locals and building great lasting relationships with them on the way. WWOOF seemed like the perfect opportunity for that.

The reason I participated in Wwoof is because I was attracted to the Australian people, culture, and way of thinking when I visited Melbourne, Australia last year, and I wanted to learn more about them. Also, although I come from Japan, my parents run a farm and I helped out when I was little, so it's a field that I'm very familiar with and would like to learn more about.

My aim is to see as many parts of the east coast as possible, making stops along the way, where I can see cool parts of Australia and stay, in exchange lending my time.

Originally, I wanted to experience farm life. This is because, for me, nurturing living things is something that makes me happier than being in contact with digital devices. In addition, I also had a desire to go to Australia and live in the great outdoors, so I registered with WHOOF.

I joined WWOOF because I desire to learn more about different agricultural practices and implement them in my home country, I wish to then teach them to my family, put them to the test and propagate all this new knowledge I'll obtain along the way. I also believe this is a far better method to connect with the local culture, as one is capable of creating a more genuine bond with people, and of course because I want to explore this wonderful country that Australia is!

We are both very interested and passionate about regenerative farming and keen to learn. Kitty sees regenerative farming as her future and Elizabeth wants to go into conservation with an additional focus on re-wilding.

As I have always loved traveling, I decided to do my practical semester abroad. By spending time abroad, I hope to learn a few things in practice that will help me on my way as a future plant breeder. I have to complete an practical semester in the 4th semester of my agricultural economics degree. Among other things, I would also like to further improve my English I also hope to gain an insight into a new, foreign country. Furthermore, I want to get to know new people with new cultures, new food, a new environment and always look forward to the unexpected things. Of course, I hope to be able to do some of the work for you on your farm and to support you wherever I can.

To experience more. I know that there is so much more to life than what I have experienced so far and I must see what's out there. I am eager to go on a journey.  I am keen to put myself out there, follow my passions and see where life takes me/us.

My main motivation is finding inspiration for the kind of life and home I would like to build for myself. I have WWOOFed on several farms and each experience taught me so much. About farming, life in general, but first and foremost about myself. I also enjoy meeting and getting to know new people and their ways of life.
