Andrew and I have just begun a working holiday and we believe in the benefits of cultural exchange as an educational tool. We have both experienced its effectiveness firsthand multiple times in our lives. Sustainable agriculture continues to interest us as a career and we view this working holiday as an opportunity to hone in skills pertaining to that pursuit. We see many opportunities to leverage WWOOF as a tool to develop our skills while simultaneously seeing the country.

I hope I might glean something of the art of ‘living well’. La bonne vie, l’art de vivre - call it what you will, it is what I think everyone should aspire to, and it can mean different things to different people. My idea of it happens to align with those who host wwoofers: hospitality; growing good food off the land; existing en plein air. Who knows, perhaps one day I might join the ranks of Wwoofing hosts, ready to pass on the secrets to the good life.

Have actually Woofed before in Israel on a Kibbutz in 2019 The back story of how that come about was having a yarn to a VISY truck driver roadside whilst i was fixing his truck and he was telling me of his Woofing experiences overseas Actually forgot about the scheme and we have applied on many house and farm sitter websites which are quite competitive and hard to line up timing with our plans .

I joined WWOOF because I need to complete my last three months of regional work to qualify for the third year of working holiday visa (subclass 417). I've already done half of my days at a nursery farm, so I know what to expect and am ready to dive back into the experience.

I’m interested in being more connected to and aware of where my food comes from. Growing up in a suburb and living in cities for much of my adult life, I haven’t been able to learn much directly about food production and distribution. I’d like some firsthand experience and to be able to contribute to sustainable systems.

I joined WWOOF to fully immerse myself in Australian culture, learn new skills in sustainable farming, and connect with like-minded people. I want to actively contribute to farm life, improve my English, and discover a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Through WWOOFing, I also hope to enrich my personal and professional journey by gaining practical knowledge and developing meaningful human connections. This is a personal growth opportunity that I am excited to embrace.

Sea to Soil farm is a 390 acre permaculture inspired farm 20kms south of Streaky Bay, near Sceale Bay on the Eyre Peninsula. Our passion at the farm is reviving broad acre farmland and growing a variety of fruits and vegetables. We also love revegetating the barren paddocks with a diversity of plants to help build soil and bring life and habitat to the farm. We use chickens, ducks and guinea fowl in our orchard for eggs, protein, manure and pest control and are constantly learning and observing from the journey.

I was recommended to join WWOOF by a friend who said it was an amazing experience for them whilst they travelled. I haven't travelled much, and I have worked in the same career since leaving university, so hopefully WWOOFing would lead to experiences of new lifestyles and knowledge which I am keen to listen and learn about. I enjoy working in teams and learning new skills, and hopefully share some knowledge too! I would my Australian experience to not just be about trips to the beach, I would love to immerse myself into a more unique experience and hopefully provide help to people along the way

I want to learn new things in eco friendly hospitality, farm to table concepts, eco farming and being part of a strong community that works towards a common goal on sustainability in agriculture. I hope to build a broad experience, since I’m planning to start a eco farm/lodge in Portugal in 2026/2027. So all experience in farm management and build up is welcome ofocurse!
