I joined WWOOF to discover what it is to work in a farm and learn about people's living experience in Australia which is something complicated to do in hostels. I currently do not have a lot of experience in farms but that's why I would like to learn and help, in any type of farm, because it would also help me knowing more things. For now my past jobs consist in McDonald's (3 years), cleaning houses around Melbourne and doing UberEat around Sydney.

I would like to gain practical farm experience and get an idea of what I could do in the future. Australia's soils are very degraded, so I would like to volunteer on farms to help build healthy soil. I'm also wanting to gain some experience handling sheep, cattle and poultry to see if I have a leaning towards any or all of them.

I am looking forward to learning about sustainable farming, winery and taking care of animals. I am also very active, so the prospect of learning by doing sounds very appealing. I think one of the best ways to get to know a country is by meeting it's people. WWOOF therefore provides the perfect opportunity for me to get to know Australia!

I joined WWOOF to experience a rich human connection, discover new cultures, and connect with passionate people. It also allows me to learn skills related to farm life while making a tangible contribution. It's a great opportunity to travel in a different way, while building authentic connections and experiencing unique experiences.

We can sign off your second year visa 88 days for bushfire recovery. Prefer long stays. Location is arguably the most beautiful place in Victoria, with Rolling hills, lake, rivers and creeks. Suited to more adventurous people that are open minded, and those that want to live a bit wild and free. Abundance of good food, lots of animal noises (esp barking dogs and crowing roosters) and can be chaotic at times with clutter, kids, animals and some hectic days. Can also be spiders around, and house is messier than average. Probably not suited to people that have had a very glamorous privileged sheltered life and lack adventure. You will become part of our family. We sometimes butcher our own meat (but not often), so not for the faint hearted. We manufacture wooden poultry incubators, as well as breeding and showing cattle, poultry and large dogs. Run a herd of miniature belted Galloway cattle on 2 properties (Georges creek, Tallangatta) in a very scenic pristine beautiful quiet location in North East victoria. Close to Tallangatta township with supermarket & other facilities. Our main property consists of 150 acres overlooking Lake Hume, made up of grazing land & bushland. Livestock incl a traditional Belted Galloway cattle stud, Wiltshire Horn sheep, rare poultry breeds. We are very relaxed & easy-going, meals will be with the family of 5 (4 children, aged 10-21) so you will be part of our family. You will experience many things such as cutting firewood, fencing, animal husbandry, growing vegetables & fruit, showing cattle, etc. Accommodation is in a cozy caravan beside our home with double bed, fridge, fan, sink, table etc, and mobile phone reception (for Telstra & Aldi mobile plans). Toilet, shower, kitchen, coffee machine and Unlimited wireless internet data at house. We can pick you up and drop off from Wodonga train station or Albury train/bus station or Albury airport. Recreation activities in the area include fishing, kayaking lake and rivers, bush walking, hiking and bike riding on rail trail, horse riding and whip cracking. We would welcome some help with looking after animals, general farm chores, building projects. Meat-based mixed diet but can cater for other diets as food is abundant in our household, Main meals will be with family of 5, so basically you will become a member of our family. Can send more information and photos of caravan on request.

Eight years ago, I did a work-and-holiday in New Zealand and discovered wwoofing. Now I'm traveling in Australia and wouldn't want to miss the wonderful experiences and adventures I had back then with wwoofing.

My favorite memories are from working outside in Australia when younger. I want to visit Australia again and really enjoyed the outback and physical work. I enjoy my current job role, but after Covid much of the work is done on-line. I miss doing physical work. I have meet lots of people doing Wwoofing when I have been traveling. It sounds like a very nice way to experience a country whilst traveling. I fell in love with the Australian outback and I have been waiting over ten years to come back to visit. I believe Wwoofing will give me the opportunity to experience the things a remember most fondly about Australia.

Hello! It's a great time of year up at our place! Spring is finally here and everything is booming! It is a great time for bushwalking and checking out the kangaroos and koalas! We are a family of four - Todd, Kate, Wimitja (18) and Kinyin (15). We are in the Adelaide Hills but only 20-25 minutes from the city center. Good access by public transport. Non smokers only. It is green and beautiful here with loads of great walks, views and animals to see. We are close to the city and a bus route but in the hills with koalas and kangaroos around... We are working on lots of projects - making woven fences out of vine prunings, making paths, drainage, planting natives, building wicking beds, retaining walls, planting and caring for summer veg gardens, maintaining native bushland and of course a little weeding! We have been WWOOF hosting for many years and really enjoy sharing life with people from all around the world. Stories, food, work, laughs and all that comes in between. We want to enjoy hosting you and we want you to enjoy being here! We work on our 3 1/2 acre property with animals, fruit trees, loads of berries, native bush and other garden areas. We are slowly working to make the land and garden more productive and the bush free from ferals. Todd works with the at risk elderly as a community nurse which is 30 minutes away or 1 hour by bike. Kate is a teacher who works with children and young families in Steiner or Waldorf Education from our property running Steiner Nature Playgroups. Our older son breeds chickens and our younger son loves his pet rabbit. Lacey the dog will love you for ever if you throw the ball for her! We enjoy cooking, gardening, preserving food, slow cooking and spending time as a family. We value community and believe in being part of something bigger than ourselves. We love travel but don't do as much these days and hosting WWOOFers is a way to bring bits and pieces of the world alive in our every day life. If you would like to come and spend time with us we prefer stays of one week - then negotiable. We enjoy people who are self motivated and looking to enjoy their days. We love it if you have great skills but are also fine if you are pretty new to it all but are happy to learn. Our home is a place for an open mind and complete respect for each person. No drugs, no smoking and no excessive drinking - let's work, learn and enjoy the days together. Everyone helps with cleaning up after meals and preparing food. If you are interested in gardening, cooking, permaculture, preserving food, community, Steiner or Waldorf education, telling stories and enjoying good food - this could be for you! The work here is a mix of home and garden and is seasonally dependent - give us a call to see what is happening at the moment. A typical day might include mulching, pruning, weeding, collecting stones for wall building or weaving sticks into fences, planting, preserving seasonal fruit and veg, cleaning and mending in and around the house, etc. We like to provide a variety of jobs and also work to people's skill set. We would love to host an electrician or plumber or builder!!! We try to limit our screen use but there is wifi available in the house. Our family prefers to enjoy people and life first hand! We enjoy eating together and telling stories and laughing over the meal. We love it when visitors want to cook a meal or two using a recipe from their family or home. We eat a small amount of meat but are most happy to cater for vegetarians as Kate until recently was vego! There is a wealth of things to do around our place in free time - there is a bus to the city to do city based things but we are also close to Mount Lofty, Cleland Wildlife park and our house 5 minutes walk to the Heysen Trail. You can regularly see kangaroos and koalas in the bush around our property and we back onto Horsnell Gully National Park. There is lots of good bush walking around. We look for visitors to work 5 hours a day and to negotiate days off in balance with this. We all share preparing for meals and cleaning up afterwards. Visitors have their own private granny flat with bathroom. We are on tank water and solar heating so visitors must be mindful of water usage. No smokers at all.

As we are both are huge lovers of nature and animals. We grew up that way. We want to learn more about it from diffrent people and their vision. Both we like to do physical work so this seems perfect to combine that with obtaining knew knowledge. Also we like to help out where we can to make even the smallest diffrence. Also it is a nice way to meet new people in a very unique way. In this way we also can learn to shape our own future with the knowledge en wisdom we could learn from the wwoofing.

Our family of four lives on 20 beautiful acres near Crescent Head, NSW. It's our hobby farm and we're constantly working on projects in the gardens, paddocks, orchard and bush block endeavoring to be self sufficient and head towards being completely off grid. We're 8mins from the great waves at Crescent Head and 15mins from Kempsey. We are surrounded by nature, bounded by national park on one side and a huge tract of bushland on the other, and are encouraging wildlife back and through our beautiful patch of land.
