Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF because I just have the best memories about it while my time in New Zealand. Traveling is fun but staying somewhere, getting to know the culture, the everyday life is just something different. I have been living in bigger (and smaller) cities all my life and just felt out of touch with nature. So I joined WWOOF to learn about farming, having a cultural exchange and learn about new things all while traveling.

I love learning new skills and meeting new people. Recently, I've been contemplating the idea of living organically and reconnecting with nature, as I grew up in the countryside until the age of 12. Since 2011, I've been living in Melbourne, but I feel like I've had my fill of city life. I'm interested in learning how to live sustainably and be self-sufficient, and I've come across WWOOFing programs.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF to break free from my routine in Berlin, which was dictated by school the last few years. It's my way to gain practical knowledge about sustainable farming and make new connections. Plus, I get to explore Australia and gather new experiences. Another reason why I joined WWOOF is to grow before returning to Germany eventually.

I am  joining WWOOFing so I can travel to  Australia while being able to  gain work experience and meet people from all over the world,. My goal is to grow my knowledge, gain experience in diverse social, and cultural environments.  I am hoping this will help me to also gain the confidence and independence while working abroad on a farm.  I hope to form natural bonds with other open minded people from different countries, as well as grow as an individual.  I feel this will also help me to gain insight as to the career path that I wish to choose when I am come back to Canada.

Hi, I arrived a few weeks ago in Australia and would like to take part on a wwoofing experience, I think it's a nice fair exchange system, and a nice way for me to meet locals, practice English and permaculture and extend my knowledge. In exchange, I will do my best to take care of your garden/ property!

We're looking for cultural experiences, and by living and working with local hosts, we'll have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a new culture, learn the local language, and discover different traditions and ways of life. We are sensitive to environmentally-friendly farming practices, which enables us to contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem. It's also a unique opportunity to learn traditional and innovative farming techniques directly in the field, on the job. Finally, woofing will enable us to grow personally through stimulating challenges that foster the development of skills such as problem-solving, time management, teamwork and interpersonal communication.

I have always been a keen gardener and have been trying to garden organically for a while now but feel my knowledge in limited in these areas, so one of the many reasons to look at woofing is to gain firsthand knowledge and skills from people who are running organic and sustainable properties. Reading theory is fine but I need to see how it works and to have a hands-on experience. I am also keen to travel and to meet different people as well as doing something to try and halt the environmental destruction surrounding us - think global, act local. I have always been a bit of an environmentalist including involvement in a number of community sustainability groups and the idea of helping others in their quest at an organic and sustainable lifestyle is extremely appealing. Now that I am retired and have time on my hands the idea of travelling to interesting places, meeting like-minded people and helping them to be organic, while also learning new skills myself sounds like a perfect thing to be involved in.

I'm planning to travel around Tassy but I get bored just seeing the sites. Wanna lend a helping hand and learn about the areas I'm travelling through from locals. Also wanna see how different areas work the land.

I am currently in Australia on a Working Holiday visa. I am considering volunteering to obtain a Second visa. This is because I was previously affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and received a lot of help from many people. If I can get a Second visa through volunteering, I would like to volunteer as a way of giving back. I also love nature and animals. Thank you very much.

I signed up to WWOOF because I think the concept is great. It allows travellers to get to know Australian life with local families and to make new friends. You can learn so many new skills and develop yourself in the process.

After completing a PDC in 2018 I'm excited to devote proper time to learning hands-on farming, building and preservation skills. There's nothing more enlivening than selecting and picking fresh ingredients from the garden to cook with and I would absolutely love to live this reality daily. I'm here to learn directly from the wisdom of people who have devoted themselves to living with nature, not by modern 'convenience'. My feet yearn to be in the soil, tending and taking note of details, learning plants through their cycles and their relationships to one another. WWOOFing represents an opportunity to genuinely restore my relationship with nature and serve her through learning sustainable practice rather than prolonging urban existential grief. I particularly love group projects and would jump at the opportunity to work on natural building projects, as well as learning the processes of cheese making, milking, tanning, etc.

To see Australia and meet every day Australians I have a deep interest in finding out if I want to move to australia, and I think the best way to do so is by going out and meeting Australians and experiencing how it is to live and work in Australia, I don't need the money and working a few hours a day is a good way to explore/meet People and not stress about work(i normally work 60-100 hrs/week)

I believe joining WWOOFing will help me integrate more easily into the country. I'll have the opportunity to explore different places, make meaningful connections, understand how life operates in various locations, and, of course, enhance my English skills. It will also allow me to contribute my part, learning and acquiring new skills along the way!

ChatGPT I joined WWOOF driven by a profound desire to immerse myself in the world of sustainable agriculture. Motivated by a passion for organic farming and a commitment to environmental stewardship, I saw WWOOFing as the perfect avenue to merge my enthusiasm with hands-on learning. By engaging with like-minded individuals and contributing to diverse farming practices, I aim to deepen my understanding of sustainable living and cultivate meaningful connections within a community that shares my values. WWOOFing represents not just a journey into agriculture but a transformative experience that aligns with my commitment to a more sustainable and interconnected world.

My friend who loves traveling told me WWOOF and we love animals and natures so we’ve decided to join. Now,we’re studying English hard but not fluently so we would like to improve English through living and make friends who are from different backgrounds and talk about different cultures.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
