Doing voluntary work in the organic farm sector would be a great introduction to Australia, it also aligns with my own values of environmental awareness and in giving something positive back. I also hope to live and work with new people and to be part of a team where I might learn new skills and embrace new experiences. I love the outdoors and nature and would like to discover this side of life in Australia. I am available to start work immediately!

I heard from friends that it is a great experience and well worth looking into. I am a hard worker with an interest in agriculture and being outdoors. I hope to meet likeminded people, stay in a welcoming place and learn a new skill or two.

Iā€™m currently a backpacker in Australia and I wish to volunteer in your shelter. I am passionate about animals; I want to preserve them as much as possible.

When I was 18, I spent a few weeks working in a wildlife rehabilitation center in South Africa and it was amazing. It has been too long since then and I am looking forward to immersing myself in a completely different environment to work with nature and (potentially) animals again. WWOOFing seems a great way to discover a new place; while working and learning about my surroundings and the people and hopefully making new friends along the way. I am looking to work for a few weeks in one place, explore the area, and continue to travel more of the country. I would love to work with or around animals, food and wine, or with ocean/lake/river related projects. However, I am broadly interested and open for other experiences. I'm not afraid of getting a bit dirty and although I do not have much experience in for example farming, I am looking to learn more.Ā  I generally learn fast.

I want to move around and meet people. I had a good experience with wwoofing with my daughter in 2006. Now I feel that I have time and skills to offer. It is a good way to see this beautiful country and I enjoy working in nature.

I enjoyed WWOOFing before so I joined again! Iā€™ve been to 3 farms before. Working in nature is very refreshing and Australia is so beautiful. Also I like to talk to new people around the world. My work as a WWOOFer: weeding, milking, collecting eggs, feeding animals, etc. **Iā€™m not suitable for heavy work. Thank you**

I joined WWOOF after being offered to do a small construction job with a WWOOF host. I will hopefully experience a different way of Australian living too, as I have been living in a large city for 6 months. I would like to face certain challenges like dealing with Australian wildlife and bush living. I love how even though I will be learning great things from the experience I also have the opportunity to give back to my WWOOF host by building a well needed structure for him.

I want to have an organic garden when, eventually, I can afford to rent a house not an apartment! In my current place Iā€™m limited to window boxes and window sill saucers to grow things. WWOOFing would let me get some experience before committing. Basically, a win-win for both of us šŸ™‚

I joined WWOOF as I'd like to support some of these projects and get to know places that may be off the beaten track. I also understand that most of the initiatives here cannot survive without a helping hand from volunteers or a community effort.

I was wwoofing in Canada for two years and had the time of my life. I've learned so many new things like gardening, planting, taking care of animals, milking, harvesting, foraging and so so much more. I met lovely people who became dear friends for life. I love sharing stories, spend time with locals and learn about their cultures and lifes. I look forward to get experiences in Australia as well where nature and wildlife is so different šŸ™‚ I wish to collect more experiences in farm work because I would love to eat my homegrown food as well and maybe have my own donkeys and sheep on one point in my life... who knows šŸ™‚

I've covered most of my reasoning in the "About me" section but I chose WWOOFing over what I'd previously used overseas (Workaway) just to filter out all the non-farming volunteering hosts šŸ™‚

The reason why I joined wwoof this time is because I have always liked volunteer activities and it was fun to research wwoof. In addition, I would like to actively consult and work on my knowledge and wisdom while making use of my past volunteer activities and experience as a nurse. Through this volunteer work, I would like to learn a lot so that I can refer to it in my future work and activities, and connect it to my own growth.

To gain new knowledge, skills and experience, meet new people and see new parts of the country. I hope to share my skills, experiences and knowledge in the process. I have been house/pet sitting while travelling, which is great but I am missing having work to get up for in the morning!

I think i already covered that in the "about me" section, but i guess there's still more to say... So first of all of course money is a thing, as I can travel with a lower budget, but it is sure not the main thing. In Germany there are lots and lots of regulations, regarding building houses, barns, you name it and for me, as I am interested in building it is one of the most awesome things to see how people in other countries live and how stuff works there. In NZ for example it was the first time I saw a toilet that separates urin and the other stuff šŸ˜€ in Germany if you build a house it is almost impossible to put in a composting toilet. So stuff like this is really amazing to me! I do not have a big garden nor the skills or space to build one, so wwoofing is a great opportunity to learn about that. Next I've been watching documentaries about Australia since I was a little kid and i hope I can find a place where I can see and learn about the flora and fauna. And what is better than locals, who can share their knowledge first hand šŸ™‚ Alright that's enough for now šŸ™‚ we still need things to talk about, when I'm here šŸ˜€

I decided to join Wwoof because I am interested in meeting up with like-minded people and also staying in different places. I like networking and travelling around to different places and so it certainly would be a very interesting experience.

I think Organic farms call me here. When I went to Koyasan and had Shojin-Ryori refers to Buddhist vegetarian cuisine then I realized that my body needs real food. Very new to farming but want to learn more about organic food. And I want to live in a vegetable garden in the future. Also, I want to hear nature's voice!

I was a WWOOFing host on a 10 acre rainforest and bushland property north of Mackay Qld for nearly 10 years. It was one of the most wonderful, memorable experiences of my life. I got out of it as least as much as I put in - which was a LOT! We undertook revegetation projects, built a shack from mostly recycled materials, did loads of weed management, grew fruits, vegies and nuts organically and had an absolutely fantastic experience with our WWOOFers. I always said I'd love to do it myself and now I am. I can cook, clean, garden, follow instructions, respect your privacy, play scrabble and appreciate your place, pets and projects as much as you do. I'm currently deepening my yoga practice after 25 years of being a more casual fan. I love a chat but I also appreciate my own space/peace and quiet. I am travelling in a compact 4WD motorhome and left Qld in February 2021. Some power or water or use of an inside bathroom or laundry is always appreciated but not crucial. A little hut in the bush is always fun as I can spread out - but not too much! A spot to lay my yoga mat out is all I need. I do have a very cute, well behaved little dog but she has won hearts and changed opinions on dogs from one side of Australia to the other. Yes I realise that's a bit unusual. I've been doing a lot of house sitting and have great references to prove how housetrained and helpful we are. She is 12 years old and basically sleeps all day and night (in the moho). If you meet me or Daisy and don't think we are a good fit, we can just head on down the road. No worries! You won't be disappointed though. I love to learn and will be very happy to help you no matter how large, small or dirty the job. Plus I still have a lot of things I'd like to learn, so teach me and I'll really enjoy being a part of making YOUR dreams a reality. Having people in your home is a leap of faith and I've rarely been disappointed when the shoe was on the other foot. Give us a go.
