When I lived in Glasgow, I spent a fair bit of time getting involved in climate activism. The climate crisis is an issue that's very close to my heart and I want to direct my energy towards ways to face it. I've been taking a little break from activism as I want to explore other ways to address this scary time we live in. From what I've learnt, farming is one of the sectors that is gonna be most affected by the climate crisis but it also has an incredible potential to be part of the solution. I think farming practices that are respectful to both land and people can help us reconnect with the land and with ourselves to build the resilience we so desperately need as a society. I want to help out the people who are already doing this work and learn from them. That's why I'm here šŸ™‚

To find a volunteer opportunity at a gorgeous organic farm over the summer. I am deeply in love with Mother nature, one of my favourite things to do is sit by a river and watch and listen to the trickling water, I find clarity this way. I also really love to get my hands dirty and body sweating and be able to see results of hard work. I believe in learning self sufficient off grid skills as absolutely important for our future generations, learning these skills is the only hope for humankind. I live in the city currently, I am lucky enough to live near the Merri Creek, I am on WWOOFing to find opportunities to get closer to nature, to expand my knowledge, to access some nature therapy, to move my body, to meet new people and hear their stories, to expand my life and open up my world.

I would like to participate in WWOOFing community because I would like to get in touch with people in this way. I look forward to spend a lot of time in nature. I love working with children and animals. It would be great to make new friendships and get new experiences in farm working šŸ™‚

Being on the road, meeting new people and sharing new experiences is the biggest luxury to me. I enjoy beeing in nature and appreciating the small things in life. And WWOOFing gives me the best opportunity to do all those things:)

It is a big opportunity to get close to other ways of live. As we are very eco-friendly people this is a great way to collaborate and learn from new environments.

My sister has spent a lot of time WWOOFing overseas and had amazing experiences every time. It's something that I've always wanted to do, but never had the opportunity. I've got a much needed break between jobs and want to fill that time being outdoors, hopefully learning something new and different. I'm very open to new experiences and working hard.

I did join WWOOF because I not only want to travel, but also meet new people and build connections rather than just sightseeing. I want to gain experiences in different fields and want to give something back for the amazing opportunity to see such a beautiful country.

Its good fun when its the right fit! Iā€™ve worked WWOOFing before on Hayter Hills egg farm for 8 months, prev to that, 5 months on a chilli chocolate farm in Ipswich. Just love getting my hands dirty, bit of a digital nomad. I enjoy the exchange of work for accomodation and food etc. I've run and hired for farms Iā€™ve worked on. Pretty useful to have around.

10 years ago while we were on our around the world trip we heard for the first time about WWOOF. We were planning to do WWOOFing but unfortunately we had to stop our trip before we could do WWOOFing. This was before our kids. Now we feel it is the right time to do it together with our kids. We want to get to know new people and country, we want to be in the nature and we want to experience and learn new things.

A good friend of mine recommended me this site! I have wanted to learn and work on a farm to be more connected to the Earth and my food. I am longer term traveling and have wanted to visit Australia so I though this was the perfect solution for both! I can't wait to learn and help a farm!

I want to join WWOOF because I want to help and learn at once. The whole idea of helping others is very important to me. The biodiversity and circular way of thinking is something I want to learn more and more and see what it means to live in harmony with nature.

Spending time with WWOOing ist for to experience Australian reality of life. We learn quickly, are helpful and diligent. After a successful day at work, we will enjoy to eat local, healthy and self harvested fruits and vegetables. Australians wildlife is amazing. To meet native animals will be a great time.

We have now entered Australia with a tourist visa for 3 months and looking for some great experiences you can just get ā€œworkingā€. We are keen to get in touch with the Aussie farm life and would like to know more about organic farming. We prefer cattle or horse farms as we love animals, but we would also go somewhere else. We also want to use the opportunity of WWOOF to save up a bit of money to keep on travelling through other countries after this. We can start ASAP and stay at your farm til end of Oktober (eventually a week longer).

I had a fantastic experience WWOOF-ing in Italy and think it is such a special way to experience a new country. I really love that WWOOF provides a platform to meet local people and volunteer for very meaningful causes! Another reason I signed up for WWOOF is because I am considering a permanent move to Australia, but want to live there short-term to see if it's a good fit for me before making a decision.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
