We decided to join WWOOF after hearing about it from a fellow WWOOFer during our travels. We found that it is an awesome opportunity to get the experience that we are seeking, whilst also providing a solution to accomodation while on the road. As our ultimate dream as a couple is to one day build our own organic sanctuary, we believe that the work as a WWOOFer will be invaluable. We hope that we can find appropriate hosts along the way to learn from, and we can provide quality work to your farm in exchange.

Since our priority is experience over making money/saving up money we decided very early into the process that volunteer work would be our goal. Since my mom is an adult and thus not eligible for a working holiday visa, our visa bureau told us about WWOOF. They said this organization was very reliable and they’ve had many clients make some amazing memories through signing up to it. Our goal is really just to make some good memories and experiences. As I said in the introduction, we don’t mind working hard or doing dirty work, we’re keen for pretty much anything ;). We would love to experience the Outback/farmlands of Australia which you normally don’t see much of when on the road traveling through Aus.

because I think it is the most serious community to apply for this type of life and community work, due to its accessibility and I think that both those who receive people and those who stay and collaborate know that if the deal was closed through wwoff, okay, and the ethics and policies expressed by the community must be complied with.

I hope I can make different friends and have rich experience and knowledge to practice my English together through this international volunteer program.I also hope that I can tell people in different countries about East Asian culture through my experience in China and Japan.Because the subject I studied at the Japanese university is global language and cultural exchange. I hope that through this international volunteer activity, I can not only improve my English level, but also promote communication in other different cultural countries.

We want to join woofing in Australia to experience nature firsthand. We're passionate about agriculture and eager to learn new practices while making a positive impact on the local community. Woofing provides a unique opportunity to explore Australia's diverse landscapes, embrace its culture, and build meaningful connections with locals.😁

Between one job and another with casual occupations there remain periods of time when you have nowhere to stay especially if you travel and move around. For this reason I found an excellent opportunity in wwoof to have a match that allows me to learn something new and at the same time have the opportunity to stay in a place

I joined wwoof Scotland in 2019 because I wanted to be in nature, but also see another country. I learned a lot of new things and met wonderful people. I like working on the land. During the course of my study I have tried to find time in between to help out my aunt with haying or any other tasks she had for me in the garden. Now that I have a year free, I see an opportunity to go wwoofing again!

I joined WWOOF to further broaden my horizon, learn about many things I don‘t know too much about (yet) and to meet many nice people who are all unique in their own way and can share their stories and knowledge with me. I‘d very much love to learn about organic and sustainable gardening/farming or even some woodworking and get to know many new recipes from my hosts

We joined WWOOF because we have heard great things! We are looking for new experiences and would love to incorporate ourselves into the local communities, meet people who live there, and hear their stories. We also enjoy the idea of helping people and this seems like a great opportunity.

i join wwoof to keep in contact with nature, not many people have the will of using their bodies to make places more able to live in, so my idea is to help locals to recover places from the damages created by flads and burns. australia is a beutiful and wild country as well, so is important to me not only be here for tourism, but also to be envolved with local people and local nature to know it better

I’m on my first working holiday visa in Australia, and I’m looking to expand my work experience and to try something completely different from what I’m used to. I think farm work would be a good challenge for me.

Skills I Want to Learn:
Initially, I solely wanted to visit a friend, but since Australia is a long travel from Germany I took my chance to stay for longer and learn about the Australian lifestyle, countryside and ecosystem. I want to see something else and get new perspectives. I am treating this like a few gap months from home and to get myself clear about a few decisions in my life. And I definitely try to skip winter time.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
