We have a small property where we tend to fruit trees and vegetables for personal consumption, as well as chickens, and our private garden. We're situated on a 1 1/2 acre block that sits on on a much larger 100 acre property about a 5-10 minute drive from the township of Kangaroo Valley. We built the house about twenty years ago from mud bricks which we made ourselves and recycled materials.

Skills I Want to Learn:
After travelling a while in Western Australia we realized that we met mostly foreign travellers like us. Which is fine but we miss some contact with Australian peoples.  We think that woofing could be a good way to add some purpose to our travel as sometime travelling can feel a bit meaningless.

Accommodation Type: In Our Home, Separate Building, Tent
Our 123 acre farm has a small number of fruit trees, with an intention to create a much larger orchard with wide range and variety of fruit and nut trees and many other edible plants, including bush tucker. We are situated on the edge of a State Forest. Help with property maintenance & many fun new projects. Be prepared to dig, plant, paint, fence, garden and create,  including small construction projects using natural & recycled materials, even sculptures. It is a peaceful, relaxing and fun property. Motivated, positive and inspiring people are welcome and it would be great if you have your own technical skills to share. If not your enthusiasm will work just as well. Work includes, mulching, fencing, weeding, building, painting, planting, harvesting, mowing, whipper snipping, propagation & more. Accommodation for 2 -3, either in house or outbuilding, or if camping can be more, with use of facilities in house. Shared meals, vegetarian diet. NSI Initial stay 1-2 weeks, then negotiable.

Skills I Want to Learn: Animal Care
I would like to improve Animal Welfare of livestock in Japan. And I will learn Animal Welfare in Australia.  But before doing so, I think it is necessary to know the real state where livestock lives. So I joined WWOOF and want to learn it through farm stay.

WWOOF was recommended to me by a lady who does Jillarooing school in Queensland. She thought it would be more beneficial than doing a short Jillaroo school
