There are a few reasons why I joined WWOOF, one of the first was that it gives me the opportunity to travel to new places and meet new people, all while not burning through what little money I have left over after University and what I will need to further my studies for a masters. Secondly however, is the fact that I have always been interested in not just where are food is grown but also how its grown and the various methods used. I hope not to only meet new people and visit new places but to also learn the practices used in farming.

I joined WWOOF to meet new people and try & learn new things. As a said, I am always up for a new Adventure and I think WWOF is a great possibility for that. I enjoyed helping my mom and grandparents with outside work and in the Garden since I am a little kid. I am eager to learn more and see what I can learn from people who are passionate about their work and Lifestyle. Especially, I am excited to learn more about Australia, its people and culture, while doing WWOOF.

I wanted to do something productive during my stay in Australia. I love organic food and I always try to choose organic food from the store. I thought it will be a great opportunity to experience a new culture and lifestyle, meet people and gain knowledge in agriculture.

We decided to join WWOOF because we read a lot of good things about it on different blogs of people that participated in this movement, and the concept seemed really appealing to us, especially because we are young and don’t have that much money to spend on traveling only. It’s a good opportunity to save money on accommodation while gaining a great experience and also getting to know an area in Australia. Another interesting part of this movement, if not the most interesting one to us, is meeting all the other people and also making new friends. Because of that we are looking for nice, humorous and talkative hosts. We also really like working in groups but it is not necessary for us, and any kind of accommodation you can offer is fine. Additionally we are very interested in trying Australian food, and we are also not allergic to anything, but we prefer not to eat meat often. We hope you enjoyed getting to know us a little bit and we are looking forward to meeting you. 🙂

I want to learn how to live together. Because now we live in the era which is called climate crisis. The experience in WWOOF will give me some intelligence about eco-living with others. I want to learn about nature, farming, living together, the value of community. I’ll do my best.

We want to gain some experience, see the world and improve our English skills. I am sure we can follow almost every conversation, but could still learn to articulate and express ourselves better. Also, it is important for us to get to know the life in other places of the world and their cultures.

I joined WWOOF UK earlier this year to learn more about horticulture and sustainable living and gain skills in these areas. Now I'm in Australia I'd love to continue my WWOOFing experience here.

I have joined WWOOF because I think it is a great deal for a young girl to travel in a new country while I have the opportunity to work and live with Australians. So WWOOF is a great compromise. I also know people who did this experience, like my sister in New Zealand and I only have good feedback.

I hope to find some friendly people where I can live and work. It's a good possibility for me because I think I would feel more comfortable in a rural and familiar environment and I would like to get more experienced in farm work.

I want to stay on the farms, experience farm life style and learn Australian culture. My sister did WWOOFing when she was 19 years old in Australia and has really good memories and experiences with it. So I would like to join WWOOF as well.

I have owned my own home in the city for last 20 years but I have felt lost there. I can only have a tiny garden, no real trees and no animals except a couple of basics. I miss my old life. I have been free volunteering with whoever I could find for a while now and even still paying rent to stay with them as I felt it was right. I am even happy to be camping, have own supplies and do not need what others consider to be necessities like mobile phone coverage, power etc. I just want to be able to be back with Mother Nature where I was born and bred doing what I do best, offering my services and expanding my knowledge especially as pertaining to care for the planet, it's vast array of creatures big and small and sustainability for it's people. I absolutely love the idea of living off the grid with minimal impact on the environment beyond necessity and want to work with others to build this. A better future for us all and our planet.
