My goal in joining WWOOF is to contribute to something bigger than myself. To live the qualities of fair exchange, communication, hard work, kindness and connection. I want to learn as much as possible about garden maintenance, planting, mulching, harvesting and general organic farm care/methods.

I'm eager to join WWOOF for several reasons. My goal is to gain experience on a farm and extend my knowledge visa, but I also want to experience Australia's magnificent natural scenery and learn more about it, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to do just that.

We joined WWOOF to find opportunities to connect with local people, learn knew knowledge and share our experiences. We experienced woofing in La Réunion (a French island) and we loved it.

I learn by doing. What better way to learn organic farming than by working and living on organic farms. I am also looking forward to meet local farmers, hear your stories and help out however I can (especially after this crazy weather)

I am wanting to do something different I don't want to work in a factory all day. I want to be outside tending to gardens, looking after animals learning something new everyday and expanding my knowledge.

I would like to have a first experience on a farm. I live on a farm and I love animals with the countryside. In addition, it will allow me to settle quietly in the country.

To reconnect with the land, its people, fauna & flora. To find time away from the city with our food full of antibiotics, herbicides and pesticides. To understand farming techniques, especially natural sequence farming of which I know nothing other than reading about it online.

I used workaway earlier this year when I was doing a student exchange in Europe, which is similar to WWOOF. I had such a great time on workaways - living with others in very rural spots surrounded by nature. I am still quite a beginner with gardening/agricultural skills, but it’s something that I enjoy and find meaningful to learn. I’m currently reading “breaking together” by Jem Bendell, which is about the ongoing collapse of industrial society … it is further reinforcing to me how ground-up practises such as permaculture farms, which work with rather than against nature, are meaningful in themselves and something I’d like to explore more. Also - I suppose this reflects my anthropology interest - I love learning about different ways of living in general, and how people work together in communities.

I would like to experience an Australian farm. I will cherish this experience. I'm working seriously! I want to work at various types of farms from now on! thank you.
