For my gap year I wanted to be able to go to different countries around the world. When I heard of Wwoof I saw it as THE opportunity to do what I wanted while being able to work with animals. In the future I want to work with animals, so a host farm sounded like the perfect place for me.

I would like to work here to gain new experiences. In the Netherlands, I worked for a while on a farm. I liked this work. I'm interested in the difference how things work on farms in other countries. I also think it would be a great opportunity to get to know new people. I hope to gain a lot of experience and knowledge with this opportunity.

Fueled by a calling, I'm on the path to Byron area, seeking not just a move but profound connections. This transition is more than a relocation; it's a quest for meaningful connections. If you think our paths align, feel free to connect.

One of the big objectives is to extend your visa. However, I would also like to work on an Australian farm and deepen my understanding of Australia. Even if I don't get a second visa, I would like to gain good experience at wwoof and utilize it in my next job.

I joined WWOOF to meet likeminded people. I get so much out of helping and being in service to others who I can help. I believe that this platform is an ideal connector between people who are helpful for each other.

We join WWOOF to meet new people, have a good time, practice English and be of service. For us, wwoofing is a great way to discover a country and its culture. It’s also way for us to get out of our comfort zone.

We have joined WWOOF as it will help out with accommodation costs but it will also give us the opportunity to meet more people and see parts of Australia we may not if we didn’t join WWOOF

We're looking for new experiences and cultural exchange to expand our (working) horizons. Also we would like to improve our English and if possible Spanish skills. Our English is already good, but far from perfect. Educating ourselfs and getting educated by others is the main reason why we love to connect to people from other countries. Getting in touch with native people gives you the opportunity to get to know their country in a different way. That's just not possible only by traveling.

I am on a journey to connect with the planet, people, and explore my relationship to nature. I view WWOOFing as an experience that would not only contribute to my growth and awareness as an individual, but allow me to assist a family or community through a practice that I am passionate about and want to learn more about. Specifically, I am curious about permaculture farming practices as well as understanding the extent to which the relationship that the Aboriginal people had with the land is still recognized in farming practices today. By previously WWOOFing, immersing myself in documentaries, briefly volunteering at food pantries, and talking to local farmers, I hold a consciousness of the benefits that result from ensuring that all people have access to nutritious food; this does not just include those pertaining to health but also in relation to the ability that food has to foster community. Ultimately, I aspire for a meaningful experience that will challenge my values and perspectives on food/farming as well as the possible ways to live both a sustainable and consciousness life.

To explore, to learn, to be with nature. We have always been travellers, and we now want to share that part of life and existence with our daughter, while also taking time to learn about tending to land, seeing and showing our daughter where our food comes from, and the cycle and beauty of life.

Skills I Want to Learn:
When I was 15 years old, I did a four-month student exchange in New Zealand and stayed with a lovely family. This family was also a host family for many different wwoofers during my stay and these volunteers always came with interesting stories and a positive attitude. We also did some smaller adventures together with them and it was always nice to have new, interesting people around. This was the time when I decided that I also wanted to do some wwoofing in the future. I thought it was a great chance to travel and not only see different parts of the world, but also get in contact with the people there and learn about their organic practices or their life in general and wwoofing gives the opportunity join them in their every day life.

I joined WWOOF as I am eager to learn more about alternative methods of farming. I enjoy working outside and relish the opportunity to come and work in another country.
