I joined WWOOF because I planned a longer stay in Australia and love to get a deeper insight in Australian life, to get to know people and get chances to travel places i would not see as a tourist. I am willing to learn and work and hope to meet nice people and enjoy some good moments, which is more important to me than only doing sightseeing.

Amy: Last spring, I decided to take a gap year before starting as an undergraduate in the fall of 2024. I wanted to spend the second part of the year traveling internationally, so the first part of the year I've been working in the outdoor retail industry to save up. The past few years, I've been active in local sustainability and climate education organizations, as well as developing my own connection to the outdoors. I'm WWOOFing so that I can gain more travel experience while continuing to develop my interest in these areas. Alexis: My interest in slow travel is why I chose to join the WWOOFing community. I believe that the best way to travel is slowly throughout a place, taking the time to explore the specific location and interact closely with locals.

Our terminus is the Daintree and dream of staying in a rainforest. Moreover , helping maintain the land, connecting to the place through gardening / odd jobs / whatever needs to be done would add to this experience . I’m looking to stay for a week and balance work and exploration. Please let me know if your home is open to two travellers who froth nature 🙂 this would be between the 5th and the 26th. Thank you

As mentioned before, I am very driven about creating a self-sustainable life for myself once I have the resources to build my own little house and have a place to start growing my own food. I am looking for a more meaningful way to spend my time and money. I currently have a little bed in a community garden where I started growing some veggies and herbs and I almost was in tears when I saw the first seedlings growing up into beautiful little veggie plants. I feel so connected to nature it only makes sense for me to start living the life of a WWOOF-er and start learning more and more about taking care of and preserving it but also what it can give us in return. It also seems like a great way to meet like-minded people and share thoughts and experiences and learn and grow together.

I have joined WWOOF because the thought of me going on holiday and relaxing doing nothing seems wasteful. I would like to visit different parts of this beautiful country I live in, make new connections and help contribute to something worthwhile.

I joined WWOOF  because  I want to experience the country trough another lens. I'd like to volunteer a few weeks on different farms during my trip to get in touch with locals, helping out, spend time in nature and learn more about organic farming. Hoping to explore new places and to meet inspiring people. By working as a Wwoofer I want to step outside my comfort zone, learning new skills and living in new ways.

I'm signing up on this platform to experience new things. For years, I've had the same routine every day, and I'd like to discover new things. I want to be closer to nature and animals. Learning English is also important to me. I hope to experience things that will make me grow and become a better person.

This is why I joined this community, i wanted to experience another way of traveling. I look for good energy and good people. I want to learn to use my hands, to get back to the source, the earth, which sustains and enables life. Curious and eager to learn about everything, i will be very grateful for all the techniques you could teach me.

There are various reasons why I have chosen WWOOF. I would like to gain knowledge in areas such as permaculture, animal care, sustainability and self-sufficiency. Acquiring knowledge and building them into skills that I could use throughout my life and share with others would be extremely meaningful to me. I believe spending time working in those areas with those willing to share will bring me much happiness and a great sense of purpose and belonging. Last but not least, being taught by passionate people sharing their way of life and building relationships with them will positively impact me.

Looking for some nice jobs on Australian farms, I´m not afraid of hard work and have already done all different kind of jobs in Germany during my studies. I like to meet new people and gain new insights into farm work or animal care. I joined WWOOF because I did not make good experiences with organizations that find you families or jobs for a lot of money. So, I´m looking forward to finding new people and oportunities with this platform 🙂

I signed up for Wwoof because I mainly want to plan the start of my trip to Australia and want to experience the typical work and travel experience. I like the concept because you have contact with a family and can support them. I'm also looking forward to getting to know working on a farm and, ideally, taking care of lots of animals. Of course I also want to see as much of Australia as possible.

I have very little farming experience, so I am WWOOFing with the mindset of a student eager to learn. Two summers ago, I read a fascinating book "The Omnivore's Dilemma" which talked all about the food industry in America. Afterward I became very interested in healthy/organic eating and have wanted to try a self-sufficient lifestyle. Currently I go to college but I have no plans for when I graduate. So, now seems a better time than ever to travel, see the world, and explore the realm of agriculture at the same time. I will be in Indonesia in February and March and plan to hop down to Australia from April-June.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
