I have a deep rooted love of nature that inspires me to not only get closer with the earth, but also find ways to sustain and protect it. I have worked at a variety of organic farms and farmers markets over the years and found that feeding my community is a passion of mine. I have loved being able to connect more closely with where my food comes from. I have learned over time too, that the ways in which we farm can directly impact the climate crisis. I want to do what I can to learn more sustainable practices and ways to care for the earth.

I'm looking to learn more about organic farming in Australia as part of my holiday, as well as meet new people and get to know the country more through working in the field! In my profession I concentrate on the agricultural transition in the Nederlands and I'm very interested in the challenges of farming in Australia - how does the environment impact the farming practices, like soil types, rain and droughts, but also climate change and possibility of bush fires?

I joined WWOOF to experience life in the Australian countryside, especially after spending three months in the bustling eastern suburbs of Sydney. My aim is to learn more about rural Australian life, engage closely with the local fauna and animals, and become an integral part of a farming community. This move represents a shift from urban living to a deeper connection with nature and sustainable practices, aligning with my interests in agriculture and the outdoors.

Growing up in southern America has proved difficult in most circumstances. Largely due to the lack of cultural perspective and mass conformity. I have always valued the importance of growing a broader world view, and experiencing other cultures. This is what I hope to achieve through the WWOOF program. I have travelled a good bit, but have never fully immersed myself in the culture of another country for longer than two weeks. I love learning about other ways of life and what better way to do that than through the opportunities WWOOfing can provide me.

I would like to support a family farm that has many animals and grows its own vegetables. I love nature and life as a farmer. I am a big animal lover and am vegetarian. I would like to get to know the way of life in the country better and help with the work.

I am interested in learning more about sustainable and organic farming, and I would like to connect with like-minded individuals who share this interest. Additionally, I am hoping to gain new and authentic experiences, as well as learn about the culture and customs of Australia. Ideally, I would love to work with animals, but I am open to any kind of work.

I joined WWOOF because I would love to experience country life, especially in a country like Australia. I also like to be among the locals and experience the real Australian culture. I love nature very much and to be outside all day in nature seems really nice. I also find it a nice way to meet people from all different countries. In hostels this is more difficult because everyone comes and goes and I think it is nice on a farm where you can really get to know people and work together. I really like working together and meeting people who also love nature. I also like the fact that WWOOF teaches you things about organic farming because in this way you are working on the future. And you can learn new skills. I think it would be great to work for WWOOF.

I'm doing WWOOF because I think it's a better way to get to know the local people and culture in Australia. WWOOF is a good option for me because I'm willing to work and I want to visit the area a few times.

I'm visiting Australia and I would love to get a feel of the country authentically by living among the residents rather than staying in hotels. I'm strongly considering immigration, therefore it's important for me to understand what real life is like (instead of tourism). I enjoy working with my hands, specifically building things and gardening. I love animals and currently gig in petcare (mostly cat/dog sitting); I would love to learn more about farm animal care. Traveling through WWOOF allows me to help the communities I visit, learn a new skill, and discover the true spirit of Australia.

I joined WWOOF to explore the wilder side of Australia. Not only with the beautiful places and scenery, but also with the people and experiences. Whilst travelling New Zealand I had a few WWOOF experiences and loved every one. I think they’re amazing opportunities to meet incredible people and try new things and places that you would never usually get an opportunity to experience. I’m always hoping to meet and learn from some amazing people, and to try my hand at everything I can. I might be brand new to something, but I always try my best and I’m always willing and keen to learn and understand about as much as I can.

Currently, I am saving money by working on a working holiday visa with my partner Serah to run my own permaculture farm and small restaurant in my country. But it's too bad to come to Australia and just work, work, work.. and go back!! So I want to study Australian agriculture through WWOOF. Serah and I have a lot of experience on the farm and have already done WWOOF in Korea. Also, we love this job, so we are confident that we will be good wwoofers.

I joined WWOOF to learn about sustainable, organic, and regenerative farming. My goal one day is to have my own property and farm and be fully self-sufficient whether that be in Australia or the US only time will tell. I am very passionate about sustainability and have been for most of my life. What started with a simple passion for op shopping and purchasing all of my clothing second-hand has evolved into most other areas of my life. I always try to be conscious of my consumption and would love to take that to the next level by becoming fully self-sufficient. I am keen to learn how to farm sustainably and get inspiration and knowledge from farmers who have systems in place that work.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
