We have had a plan to help farmers in some way for a couple of years. Now that we have the time without commitments we are able to give our time and knowledge to those in need. We are looking forward to meeting new people and making friendships. Seeing different country and ways of living. We are looking forward to travelling in our beloved 5th wheeler, and use our varied experience to help in any way we can. We love to try new things whether that is working with animals, cooking, growing stuff or new hobbies. We are excited about our new adventure.

I love the idea of working on a farm with others, for room and food. I want to learn more about farming and learn more about Aus and the people who live and work here. My parents were WWOOF hosts before I was born and when I was a young child. They are still in touch with some of those that came to work at our oyster farm. They loved the experience of hosting and think it's a great way to get to know people from all over the world!

I join the wwoofer community because I think it’s a great project that respects the environment and that helps preserve nature. I want to use my time to help the environment, the fauna and the flora in Australia and learn more about customs. I’m familiar working with animals because I used to live in a little farm during my childhood with horses, dogs, cats and other animals. I have experience feeding and taking care of them and their babies. I’ll be so happy to help you !! Looking forward to hearing from you

I joined wwoof because I wanna see something apart from Australia's more touristy spots. Since my first WHV is nearing it's end, I would also like to complete the 88 days so I can come back in a few years. What better way to do that than volunteering in the country I've grown to love?

I've heard from a friend of mine who did WWOOFing and highly recommended it to me. Now I'm here willing to learn about growing and producing and to experience the life on Australian farms.

In all the hostels I've been here so far I've only met other backpackers but noone really coming from Australia. For getting to know a lot more about the country I'm staying in for one year I think WWOOFing is the best opportunity.

We both joined WWOOF because we have been wanting to go to Australia together for a long time but we didn’t know how to arrange it with our responsibilities at Home (work, future planning, etc…). Now we have managed to get around 3-4 gap moths before starting to work / our dual master studies. We think that “WWOOFing” is the only possible way for us to be able to have a long and not too expensive stay of about 3 moths in Australia, in order to get to know the country, the people and the culture while also doing something for the community, helping out others, getting in touch with nature and learning new skills. Short anecdote: Louisa remembered that she once held a school-presentation in the English course about WWOOFing. She has great memories of that presentation, so she came up with the idea to “just do it!" when we were about to collect ideas on how to spend the gap months between Bachelor and Master/work of dual studies. And here we are, trying to find Hosts 😀

I joined WWOOF because I have always enjoyed participating in volunteer services. For me it is a great way to enrich in human experience and also to share. I have a lot of experience in many fields and I am sure I can help as long as the respect is mutual. Diane my boss, whom I appreciated very much in New Zealand, used to call me "The Jack of all trades" ^^

When I was young, I had a dream of exploring different countries in the world with my own feet. After graduated from the collage and started to work day and night, I've almost forgotten my dream. One day I realized that, working day and night is not the way I wish to spend my entire life. This recalled me the dream when I was young. Therefore I took courage to quit my current job and started to plan a fruitful working break for myself. I wish to cherish my youth, while I still have strength and full of enthusiasm. By joining WWOOF, I wish to broaden my horizons through exploring different new things (including farming, milking, taking care of animals, or anything I've never tried before). While I am learning those skills, I could also help the host in taking care the farm (Win-Win!). I would like to communicate and share my stories with multicultural people, and experience a simple life in the farm. Moreover, I wish I could help in building a sustainable community by learning organic farming skills from the host. Looking forward to my 2-3 weeks of WWOOF experience at your farm!

My friend who went to New Zealand told me all about how much fun she had with WWOOFing, that's how I came to know it. I want to learn more about anything related to farming and cultivating food, because it bothers me that I don't know how the stuff in my supermarket gets there. I like being outside and want to experiencing something completely opposite from the computer science degree I was fed up with studying for.
