I would love to get to know more about organic ingredients, where the ingredients origin is part of chefs job. I like to follow organic cooking and eating style for chasing healthy life. Also have the knowledge about organic farm, so in the future I can share to more people while I travel.

I would like to exchange culture with local people, learn English and try new things. WWOOF is not common in Japan and hard to find agricultural experiences so I hope to join Australian members and I want to tell my cousins to how I try great experiences in Australia.

About Patrice: Patrice Newell was once on Television. But she left that industry in 1987 to become a sustainable land manager and writer/researcher dedicated to developing and communicating improved agricultural systems and innovations in an era of rapid climate change. Elmswood Farm has been her obsession ever since. We are a Bio-dynamic/organic farm producing and retailing garlic, olive oil, beef and honey. The WWOOFing jobs depend on when you are with us. Sometimes we are busy, especially November and April, other times not so. Accommodation for 4 in own house next to ours, some shared meals, mixed diet,  No smoking inside. Initial stay 2-4 weeks, longer stays negotiable. What work experiences are available to WWOOFers? Volunteering includes planting, mulching, weeding, harvesting, clipping or packing garlic. Stock work available for those with stock experience. Fencing work depending if WWOOFer is strong and interested.

I joined WWOOF because I am about to start solo travelling for the first time and I have heard that WWOOF is a really great way to meet other travellers and to find hosts that can tell you things that will be beneficial in further travels. I am really interested in learning a different work style and seeing the Australian countryside. I really care about environmental preservation and spending time out doors and WWOOF aligns with that really nicely. I hope to gain new experiences and make friends. I want to go away saying that was the most amazing experience ever. I am a really hard worker and down for anything, I am very versatile in what I'm willing to do and I am ready to put in some elbow grease and have a good time.

I want to learn new things and meet new interesting people! I’ve always loved to learn, and i think the best way to truly do that is to get your hands dirty. I’m hoping for some life lessons and memorable moments. I’m not very familiar with self sustainable living since I've lived in an apartment my whole life, but i’m eager to learn!

A good friend of mine had a wonderful experience wwoofing on a farm, and it made me curious to try it for myself. I also enjoy doing things that contribute to the community and help build positive relationships. I also really enjoy exchanges that aren’t money based, it’s the kind of world I want to work towards!

Love the idea of helping others achieve their goals and dreams through ethical and/or organic farming and permaculture practices; gaining new skills through hands on experience and  working in and with  a friendly team and environment. Very keen to get back into the outdoors, nature and community.

We are hoping to be able to gain different experiences during our time in Australia and try out different things that we would otherwise not be able to in Singapore. We are both very excited to see what’s out there for us and eager to get started!

Agriculture/permaculture is a new ground for us, however we are very enthusiastic to expand our knowledge in the area! It is our dream to someday be able to have our own self-sustainable property (growing our own veggies, farming chickens, etc.) and we thought that joining WWOOF would be a perfect place to start.

I'm in Australia to seek adventures and experiment new things, I've already lived and worked in a big city like Melbourne for 4 months and now I feel ready for something new. I'm looking for a place were to work but also were to find the contact with nature that I missed in the past months. Plus I've always wanted to work in a farm and this seems like the right time to do it.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
