#1. Chi-ho Chun (Holy) I think this whole society system is broken. We should spend what we actually need. But the governments and companies are seeing only in economic ways, encouraging people to buy the stuffs that they don’t need. And this situation has been sustaining for long time and as a result it damages the environment and people themselves. I want to pursue the lifestyle that consume the product that I need and minimize the consumption. In order to achieve this lifestyle, I thought, “I have to be able to produce what I eat,” so I supported WWOOF. --------------------------------------------------------------- #2. Ga-heun Kim (Moly) I have played WWOOFing twice in South Korea, twice in Germany, three times in France, and four times in Italy. I have learned a lot by visiting various farms and meeting farmers. The reality was so different from learning at the desk. I think it's only farmers who can tell the story of agriculture more realistically than anyone else and teach the philosophy that came from firsthand experience. I think WWOOF is the only way to learn their thoughts and philosophy by meeting farmers in person, working together, and eating together. I want to be a farmer in the future and build my own farm. But there are real problems to be solved. I want to learn from farmers, not from books or professors, how to think about the problem and how to approach it. I'm especially interested in organic farming and how to sustainably operate small farms. I'm interested in organizing a community, but what I'm most interested in is a family-run farm. Also, I think it's quite difficult to live as a farmer. There's a lot of work, it's physically difficult, and on the other hand, there's not enough financial compensation. But yet, for me, who wants to be a farmer, I want to talk to you about the reasons why you live your life as a farmer and how you balance work and life together. If you are curious about the experience of WWOOFing in South Korea and Europe, I’m able to share that with you. My story is ready, why don't we meet if your story is ready?

I really like the concept of WWOOF and I am happy to do it again now because I had only amazing experiences when in New Zealand! I would like to learn new things and just help where help is needed in exchange for a place to stay:)

I joined WWOOF because I find the opportunity to travel and volunteer in exchange for a place to stay (and hopefully a new friend!) absolutely incredible. I truly believe that our lives are shaped by the people we meet, and this provides any lucky person the chance to meet new people, create new memories, and give back to a place that has so kindly allowed us to call it home.

I want to travel around Australia in the most natural way possible, doing what I like most, being in contact with nature and animals. In addition to learning skills and knowledge.

The starting point of my interest in Australia was hearing the experiences of two friends who actually studied there. They shared stories about the rich nature, warm people, and beautiful scenery that couldn't be found in Hokkaido, where I live, which piqued my curiosity. Additionally, last year, I conducted research in my university seminar on the theme of "food and agriculture." Through this, I discovered the allure of agriculture and the vastness of the world, which led me to consider challenging myself abroad and experiencing Australian agriculture, hence my decision to participate in WWOOF this time.

WWOFF, an international movement, facilitates volunteering with organic farmers, fostering cultural exchange, education, and sustainable living globally. Its mission resonates deeply with my values, aspiring to contribute to a better world. Through WWOODF, I engage in diverse sustainable farming activities, spanning from animal husbandry to agriculture. Moreover, WWOOF opens doors beyond Australia, offering opportunities to volunteer overseas with numerous hosts, broadening my horizons and experiences.

I am interested in organic farming and wanted to learn about organic farming. Also, it's been a long time since I've lived abroad and this is my first time doing a homestay, so I'm looking forward to new discoveries and experiences. It's not easy to live in such vast natural surroundings, so I want to experience it to the fullest.

We would like to travel and this is the best and most exciting way of doing it for us, working and learning as we go and meeting people doing amazing things with soil and plants.

To learn more about eco living, agriculture, to work in nature, to meet new people and have new experiences. I love the outdoors, our beautiful world and the off-grid gems you can find this way. I would love to learn more agriculture skills, but also to give from my knowledge about animals, plants, cooking, cleaning and animals.

I want to experience life in Australia and interact with locals. Since I enjoy staying active and being in natural environments, it would be even better if I could have experiences in agriculture or on a ranch.

Recently, I've read about fermenting, and have enjoyed trying it out. In particular, It felt really good to eat sour dough bread which i made, along with with some butter I made too! Even though it was from store bought cream, I do imagine what it would taste like straight from cow 😋 Eating the bread I made felt so satisfying. I believe there are therapeutic benefits in enjoying the simple things in life and going back to the natural processing of food whilst joining to be a part of it. Whether it's growing, harvesting or preparing it. It is beneficial for all, and for everything else around. It promotes complete wellbeing and restores our environment. Working together and caring for each other while looking after our environment. Further, I am looking forward to realise how being a part of this, eating organic wholefood, and living naturally can bring about healing for myself and others. I would like to gain some 'hands on experience' and learn from others who are already applying these much needed skills. This would make me feel happy. God bless.

I love animals and gardening and I'm very keen to learn more about tropical fruits, animal care and breeding so Australia seems like the perfect place to visit.

I decided to join WWOOF after a few years of contemplating the idea, inspired by two friends who had their own WWOOFing experiences. I aim to learn sustainable lifestyles and methods of growing my own food, hoping to incorporate these practices into my journey toward sustainable living. Additionally, I want to apply the knowledge I gain to my career, where I hope to help my home state combat climate change and agricultural pollution. Being an environmental steward is very important to me, and I believe my values align with WWOOF's. WWOOFing offers an economically feasible way to travel and provides a much more intimate experience of Australia's people, culture, and landscapes. Considering I live on the other side of the world and am only two years removed from college, I wouldn't be able to afford to stay in Australia for multiple weeks, which I think is necessary to get the proper work and travel experience.

It's something we've been thinking about for years, and finally have time for now that we've finished our graduate studies. After spending two years reading about sustainability and environmental studies in general we are curious about more practical hands-on work, and getting some real-life experience. We would love to learn about how organic and sustainable farming works, but also about farm life and caring for plants and animals in general. We're also so excited to meet interesting people from different places and make new friendships!

I mentioned that my WorkAway experience was significant to me. Part of that significance is why I want to be a WWOOFer: Some of my favorite work days included pruning grapevines, potting seeds, and planting trees, so while I valued the other experiences like managing snow, dog walking, and tiling, I crave digging my hands in soil or hauling materials to cultivate life. Additionally, in my home state Wisconsin, agriculture is big and as my trip has gone on, my desire to have a career that connects with my home is stronger, so gaining agricultural skills excites me. Lastly, there's the fundemental exchange of work for food, lodging, and community. This makes travelling possible and, in my opinion, more enjoyable because I enjoy staying in one place, providing a service, and connecting with people!

To meet you! I really enjoy spending time with other people. My hobbies tend to be quite unusual and end up being solo so, I really value time spent with other people. I'd love to learn stuff about living off grid - as mentioned hunting and foraging in particular.

Since both of us have started travelling we have stayed in hostels, homestays, and an occasional hotel! By far our favourite experiences have always been those in homestays as getting to know the family you are living with is important to both of us, hence why we have signed up to WWOOF. We are both eager to explore different cities and towns in Australia that without WWOOF neither of us may have visited. Thank you for getting to know us we are looking forward to meeting some of you and helping in anyway we can!

want to do voluntary work to enrich myself personally and also help people. I'm fairly introverted, but I make an effort every day to talk to people, even though English is not my native language . This also helps me to improve my understanding of the language and my ability to communicate.
