As an nature enthusiast and a sociable individual, I am eager to spend quality time with new people, expand my knowledge, and take this opportunity to develop my future projects. I take great pleasure sharing good home made meals, and it would be delightful to offer you some authentic French dishes during our time together!

Situated in the Yarra Valley (1.5 hours north of Melbourne) our 10 acre block is 70% native forest with the remainder cleared. We are in the process of converting the small holding to the biodynamic production of vegetables and fruit. The property is north facing with a good water supply and excellent soils. We have a small dam suitable for swimming. The soils have had no chemicals for at least two decades. It is adjacent to State Forest with a wonderful array of nature around us including koala's, wombat and wallaby. The variety and number of local bird species is a joy to be around though crop protection can be a task in itself. The closest shopping town is 15 minutes away with a mainline trainstation 40 minutes away by car. I have experience in biodynamic and organic crop production (primarily in tree production) in Europe and Australia. My wife also has many years of growing experience. The environment is is fairly pristine with our neighbours also applying organic systems.

Our reason for joining Wwoofing is to be able to serve in the community as well as meet people and broaden our horizons. As we don't own a farm but love this style of life we can fill our souls with goodness by coming and participating.

This is the first time I've come to a place outside of Japan, and I wanted to live with animals and local people on a farm surrounded by the magnificent nature of Australia, something I can't experience in Japan. I've been working as a nursing assistant for nearly 10 years, and I don't dislike nursing work, so I think it's something I'll continue to do even if I return to Japan. However, I'm also interested in nature, ranches, and farm life, and I want to pack this one year of my life with as many experiences as I can and meet as many people as I can before returning to Japan. I want to experience the atmosphere of various places and travel in ways I've never done before, something that excites me.

I have always wanted to join WWOOF but never got around to it before now. I would like to learn how to garden organically and to be a useful cog in the wheel of some of these farms.

I've always had the itch to see new things and meet new people. It’s a great big world full of opportunity and knowledge waiting to be discovered and its my belief after years of schooling that only so much can be learned from a book. I joined WWOOF because I want real experience in farming practices from knowledgable people. Also, I want to learn the other lessons to be learned from international travel that I can’t quite name yet. Guess I have to get out there and see for myself what amazing things I’ll learn! I hope to become a more rounded and skilled worker, as well and a more open and caring person for the people around me and for the land and livestock in my care. I wish to meet new friends and help them grow their lives as they help me grow in mine. On a side note, writing is an important practice in my life, and a writer can’t write about working the same job in the same town all his life. My artistic side is always screaming for new folks, new places, new stories, and new experiences.

It has been less than a month since we arrived in Australia. We need to research and study more about Australia. We are only 22 and need more experience. My English is still not perfect so I need to study more. I participated because I wanted to improve myself as a person.

I've been really stuck on the "what next" in my life and this seems like a really good opportunity to open myself up to a completely different experience but one that aligns with what I am interested in and what I've already been dreaming about a little bit, I just didn't realise that something like this existed! I have this vague awareness that there is a dysfunction in our food systems, our soil health and in turn the quality of our food and I would love learn more about that and one day potentially have the capacity to contribute to regenerating those systems in some small way. To hear other people's stories and experiences is something that also draws me in as well as having the opportunity to be exposed to a different way of living and also getting to see and explore more of Australia, would be incredible although not without its challenges.

I am interested in organic farms. I also would like to know what type of organic farms are available in Queensland. I was born in tea farm in Japan and interested in farming.

I joined Wwoof to meet new people, improve my english and learn new skills. I love learning about new cultures and exploring new places, and I really enjoy the nature here in Australia. I also love animals and would be especially excited to join an oriented animal community.

I want to connect with all kinds of people because I think it’s important for thinking about my life. I’m also interested in agriculture and want to always appreciate the food I eat. By eating healthy foods correctly, I aim to stay healthy all the time.

we love farming, we love meeting new people, we love passing on our knowledge and learning from other people's knowledge. We think woofing is a great way to discover people and their culture while offering our help.

I join WWOOF because I like the social aspect of the initiative. I want to improve my English, discover new people and your culture. I really want to share time with locals, and I think that's a good way to do that. I think it's a good thing for acclimatization to come in a farm for discover a new culture. I like working outside, talking and animals.

I signed up to meet local population, improve my English and discover professions that I would not have dared to do in Belgium. Being able to volunteer is rewarding for me.

Land for Wildlife. My partner Cliff and I have a 100 acre property in the Northern Rivers area of NSW. We are located 15 mins from the town of Kyogle, and 1 and a half hours from Byron Bay and the coast. Our property is NOT a working farm but a wildlife habitat. There is an abundance of wallabies, kangaroos, possums, birds and many other species. The wetlands on the property has numerous waterbirds including swans which come to nest and raise their signets every year. We have a lovely retro caravan available as accomodation if required and a beautiful swimming pool in a tropical garden setting. There is a large workshop with a toilet and shower, as well as a washing machine for your own use. This property is perfect for nature lovers. No dogs allowed.
