I joined woof because first of all I really enjoy learning something new, which I’m quite sure I’ll be doing while working. Another big reason is that our environment is very important to me. And I want to learn how to help animals and is humans aswell whilst helping our environment. There may be a chance of learning something about the Australien culture aswell, which I’m very interested in.

I am traveling now to see more of Australia, to share idea's, to learn, to connect. The people I met the first time around, helped to shape the person I am today. I love opportunities that come from the intention of exchange. The notion of.. I have a thing or a skill to help you. I love to give without expectations because I am happy in myself, I love to share, honouring myself and the ones I am working with.

I hope to be connected with like-minded people who might be able to teach me new skills and provide a haven to retreat to after a day's work. I am keen to work in agriculture in the future and would like to use skills in regenerative agriculture and permaculture. I am also really keen to meet like-minded people and explore new areas in Australia.

I joined WWOOF, becouse I think it's a great opportunity to connect with other people. I hope to become a better understanding for the australien way of life. I guess if you work and live together you can get a better understanding with each other. At the end of the day, I hope to have a great time here in Australia with as many new experiences and learnings as possible but also to be able to give something back.

As I said, I have just finished high school. I wanted to take a break from my studies. Therefore I was searching and one day I found this possibility of working in a farm in exchange for food and accomodation. I had the feeling that was what I had to do. So here I am :). I love travelling and I have always wanted to go to Australia, it is a dream. Discovering new people, a new culture, learning new things, that is why I want to become a wwoofer ! I am sure that this experience can also be very rewarding in terms of social relations, responsibility and independence. It is also a good way to improve my English ! I do not have any experience in wwoofing but I am here to learn. Leaving far away from my country is also a way to prove to myself that I can do things alone and that I am not lost without my family or my friends.

As I mentioned on the previous paragraph I have known about WWOOF for almost 10 years, my sister mentioned it to me when we were both still in school and because Life works in mysterious ways the actual opportunity to become part of the program never arose. I am now beginning this new chapter in my life and coming to Australia with a Work and Holiday visa 417 something I dreamed of doing when I was 18 and just finished school. Roughly 10 years later, with a little bit of a detour I can finally make two bucket list plans come true: go on a work and holiday in Australia and participate in a WWOOF program: life really has its own timing. I'd like to emerge myself in the culture of a country through its most hands on sector, see its colors and feel its textures, be a part of a community and learn from others. Its rather simple yet we lack of these simple opportunities in the day to day life. I am not proud but I find myself spending too much time on the cloud ( internet....) and I really need to get back to earth, get back in touch with myself and realness: i know that spending time in a farm and being hands on is what I need.

When I was thinking about how I would like to spend my time in Australia, I came across WWOOFing. Good friends of mine have already told me about it. I would love to immerse myself more in the Australian culture, live with the hosts on the farm and learn all about farm life and experience something I haven't experienced before.

For me WOOFing is the best opportunity to get in contact with locals and see their daily life and work. And I’m really looking for an occupation right now and can’t wait to do some physical work in the nature with animals again.

WWOOF offers me the oppotunity to get quickly in touch with the australian population and their way of life. I don't know much about farms but I am very keen on their running. I consider learning new things as an important way to grow and that is why I think WWOOF is a good challenge for me. Moreover it gives me the opportunity to travel throughout Australia and to get to know other travellers.

We’d like to spend time away from the UK for more than just a ‘holiday’. We’d like to feel embedded in a community and able to get to know people around us. We love the idea of spending time outdoors and being active, and we’d like to find something that stimulates the kids and exposes them to skills and experiences they wouldn’t get otherwise. We try to live sustainably and care about the environment, and WWOOFing offers an opportunity to be more connected to the these values.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
