I am visiting my sister in Sydney for the first time, but I want to experience the countryside as well. I want to meet new people and learn new things. Organic farming and thinking is the future, I would like to learn more about that.

Wanted to learn more about the many different types of practices that small farmers use on all different types of crops and landscapes. I hope to bring passion and fun hearted times to all different kinds of people and see what the world has to offer.

I joined WWOOF because I loved my experiences in Portugal and Italy so much, I liked living locally and getting to know the area. The organic techniques I learned were so interesting and fun, and it feels so good to work with the earth and land. Furthermore I love traveling slow and staying in one place a but longer and learn a few new skills and help out while I am at it! The feeling of community is what I'm usually looking for. More skills: worked as a roussie in shearing sheds for a couple of months and as a chaser bin driver in the countryside of NSW until December 2023.

I would love to explore new places and meet inspiring people. Last year I made my first experience in community-living. I’ve loved that and think it’s very nice to learn from each other. I’ve made some farmwork as well. During my school time I’ve lived on a demeter farm for 3 weeks and liked it very much. I’m interested to learn something about permaculture (but it’s not necessary) and use the trip to improve my English. So I’m looking forward to very different experiences in Australia!

I joined wwoof because I want to meet like minded people and learn new skills. I'm quite social and enjoy a more community based lifestyle. I believe many hands make light work and enjoy working with others to create something shared.

I joined WWOOF to get more experience and more interesting experience farming, and to travel and see other cultures. I want to see how farming is done in different climates/places/setups, and learn different specific skills that I haven't had the chance to so far. (Specifically, I'd be interested in tree grafting and raising plants from seed, permaculture and other alternative growing methods, carpentry and general fixing, greenhousing, and growing warm-climate fruits; but I'd be happy to learn just about anything.) I also just like doing physical outside work. Australia in particular seems to be a culturally interesting place, and I've had very little exposure to it.

I reached WWOOF because all experiences are good to take and because this the best way to meet Australian and practice English. Also learn some jobs and about myself. Discover another culture is very important nowadays. I really believe that it will give me some opportunity that I can t catch somewhere else.

I joined WWOOF as part of my work and travel experience in Australia. So far, I have been primarily focused on traveling, but now it's time to delve into the "work" aspect of my journey. My hope is that I will have the opportunity to enhance my English skills, explore more of this stunning country, and acquire valuable practical skills along the way. I'm eager to immerse myself in the unique culture here and connect with interesting people.

If I work like a robot in Australia, I might feel boring as I was working in the office in Taiwan. I could stay in a farm for few days, weeks or months to interact with different types of people and hope to grow deep connection with this country by working exchange. Since Australia is famous for agriculture, I hope I could learn about the agriculture by working in WWOOF’s farms. Second, when I go to the supermarket or food market, I am always curios about what organic foods are. I would like to explore the process of cultivating organic plants. Though I might not learn the whole organic knowledges in a few months, I hope to have the basic knowledge of the organic plants. Third, I agree the idea of WWOOF. Organic farming could minimize the damage of soil. The recycle of the organic lessen the impact on the environment. I would be honored to be a part of conserving the environment.

I used to be a WWOOFer in Spain and had a great time there learning more about myself and my goals in life. I would love to reiterate the experience as many things have now changed and reconnecting with nature seems like something I’d love to do.

I decided to join WWOOF because I m deeply passionate about sustainable living organic farming and connecting with people who share similar values. I believe that WWOOFing offers a unique and enriching experience that allows me to learn contribute and grow. My primary goal in WWOOFing is to gain hands on experience in sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices. I'm eager to learn about permaculture regenerative agriculture and other ecofriendly farming methods. By working alongside experienced hosts I hope to acquire practical skills and knowledge that will enable me to contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious lifestyle. Additionally WWOOFing provides a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement. I'm excited about the prospect of building meaningful connections with hosts and fellow WWOOFers learning about their way of life and sharing my own experiences. This cultural exchange is an essential part of the journey for me as I believe that understanding and respecting diverse perspectives is crucial in today's interconnected world. Ultimately I aim to achieve personal growth a deeper connection to the natural world and a broader understanding of sustainable living practices. I want to leave each WWOOFing experience not only with a new set of skills but also with a sense of purpose and a commitment to applying what I've learned to my own life and community. In summary I joined WWOOF with the aspiration of learning growing and making a positive impact on the environment and the people I meet along the way. I'm eager to embark on this journey and contribute to the WWOOFing community.

I have many reasons. First of all, I want to experience abroad agriculture and learn from it. I study global problems such as food crisis, environmental pollution and how to approach them by agriculuture everyday just sitting on a seat and listening professors. But I realized that I'm ignorant about abroad agriculuture. So I decided to try farm stay in Australia which is thriving with agriculuture. Second, the biggest reason is to expand my world. As mentioned in Bio, I like to interact with many people. (This is an also reason why I love soccer!)  So, I want to talk many people who has different backgrounds. I'm not familiar with actual farmwork. I'm not fluent in English. But my enthusiasm is stronger than anyone!

I arrived in Australia this week and I want to discover this country. I think wwwoofing is the best way because we are directly with locals people. I don’t want to make lite tourism, I want to know how native's life is in real. Given that discovering Australia is one of my dreams, this year is the opportunity. Moreover I want to perfect my English.

We are visiting friends in Australia and are taking time to appreciate the country. Gunnar really enjoyed his time WWOOFing. So much so that it started a career in agriculture and native landscaping. It is a nice atmosphere when there are people from all over the world weeding or harvesting together. Hannah hasn’t gotten a chance to WWOOF yet but has become excited about the idea after camping next to a sheep farm. She has at least two years experience helping Gunnar keep his garden plot from being overwhelmed by weeds.

I joined WWOOF to complete my 88 days in order to gain my second 417 working holiday visa to spend another year in Australia 🙂 I’m looking at volunteering for a great cause and to learn a new skill and friends along the way!
