I think I explained this a lot in my bio but! I'm joining WWOOF to start my next chapter in life. I really want to experience working with my hands and experience farm life. I chose Australia because I see it as the opposite of where I grew up. The climate is hot, it's very large, filled with adventure, scary animals and of course the ocean (Minnesota is smaller, very cold, and very far from the ocean). I hope to grow mentally, and physically through this experience. I want to gain a lot of confidence, make many new friends and have a whole bundle of wonderful memories.

Over a decade ago I was a WWoofer on a biodynamic farm and also on a vineyard. In the future I could see myself homesteading , therefore I would love to learn more from people who also care for the planet, about (sustainable) farming principles .

Before leaving Australia (in February), I really wanted to have a permaculture experience, volunteering. I can't miss this in Australia, it's really important for me. So, I am searching now for different permacultural projects around NSW I'm going to be around Byron bay from Christmas, and I have the whole of January to make this experience happen. I am very enthusiastic and excited about finding the right place to volunteer. (I have my own car, with a bed inside).

I would love to be your volunteer ! I am here on a WHV but at first I would learn about your work and your life in Australia. I think it is different to my life in Germany. The concept from WWOOF is the right one for me. I would love it to learn from you, life in your house, have chat and cook and eat together. It would nice to meet you 🙂

I am looking to get involved with some interesting and fulfilling work where I can learn new skills in the growing sector. I'd also like to contribute some of my own enthusiasm and skills in arboriculture to whatever project I work on. I'm also looking forward to seeing new areas of WA and meeting interesting people!

I've decided to embark on a WWOOFing journey in Australia to learn, share, and immerse myself in the beauty of eco-friendly farming. Australia's diverse landscapes and commitment to permacultural practices have drawn me in. I'm eager to contribute my energy and skills to a WWOOFing host while soaking up the Aussie way of life. For me, WWOOFing presents a wonderful chance to connect with like-minded individuals while, of course, providing a practical way to stretch my travel budget.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I've already traveled in Europe and Africa through woofing and volunteering. This has always seemed to me to be the richest way to cross countries. I'm very attached to meeting local people and sharing cultures. We have so much to learn from each other, and in a modern world that advocates individualism, this return to exchange and human link seems to me to be essential.

I think is a beautiful way to meet new people, help them for a beautiful cause and it's a perfect way to learn something new. I love the exchange that comes from these situation. I as a volunteer I'd leave something in Host memories and other way round. it's also a good way to get deep in a new culture.

I received good recommendations from friends who have already used the program and I hope to meet the same expectations that they did. Everyone had positive points addressed during the journey, living new experiences with incredible people and exchanging good connections with the types of jobs offered.

I first discovered WWOOF in Italy. After finishing my bachelors degree on exchange in Milan I was keen for a change of pace. Curious to live more in tune with the environment, and to experience organic farming and sustainable living, my best friend and I set out to WWOOF around Italy for a couple of months. It was epic! I loved experiencing others lifestyles, embracing new environments, discovering new communities and learning new skills. I ended that adventure feeling inspired and curious to learn more. This time around I’m keen to work with my hands, do a bit of heavy lifting, and learn more about living harmoniously with the environment. I’m interested in slow food, gardening, building, indigenous knowledge/practices, and self-sufficient living - but really just keen to learn about anything and everything!).
